Famitsu Surveys Holiday Season

The latest issue of Japanese publication Famitsu features a survey on the Holiday season. Retailers and consumers took the survey test and some of the results may surprise you, and others are just as predicted.

Top 10 products most likely to sell:
1. WiiFit (Wii)
2. Xbox360 hardware
3. Wii hardware
4. PS3 hardware
5. Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
6. Dragon Quest IV (DS)
7. Final Fantasy IV (DS)
8. DS Lite hardware
9. Dynasty Warriors 6 (PS3/Xbox360)

No, they just made different surveys :D They mentioned this on 1up Yours. But interesting that consumers thought the x360 was going to outsell PS3 in both surveys.

this is a joke right the 360 can't sell over 5,000 a week ( thats the highest its gone it usually at what 2000) and its suppose to sell more than the wii and the ps3. yeah i believe this when it happens jessie5788

When is lost oddessy coming out in japan?

I don't care much how the Xbox 360 sales over in Japan, I'm more concerned on it maintaining a North American lead.

If any, I hope PS3 sales pickup more in Japan to offset Wii dominance, if anything it will help Xbox 360 at sustain a global lead.

Dragon Quest IV? Why are they hyping this so soon, isn't that game coming out after the more famous Dragon Quest IX? Did I miss something?Brainhunter

I think it's considered one of the best in the series (I prefer DQ6 though personally). Think along the lines of a FF7 remake, it'd likely generate more excitement than FF13.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. Now that I think about it, isn't there an FFIV remake for the DS as well? I assume it is ranked among the best old generation FF games prior to the 3D revolution FFVII brought into the series, or at least second to FFVI.
