3 New Uncharted: Drake's Fortune gameplay videos

If you checked out Ellie's recent in-depth look at Naughty Dog's Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, you'll know that it's one of the more promising prospects on the exclusive-craving PS3 this Chrimbo.

Despite fairly obvious similarities to 'er with the big 'uns, the creator of Crash and Jak insists our chiselled hero Nathan Drake is much more than a brainless Larry Cruft knock-off. You can now judge for yourselves in three tasty gameplay vignettes we've just whacked up on Eurogamer TV.

Videos one and two show off combat - the first has Drake sploshing around in an underground, well, tomb, rapidly switching between weapons, going hand-to-hand, and cobbing grenades at nasty types. The second heads outside and into ruins for more happy slapping. Finally, the third clip offers a taster of the puzzle-solving you'll encounter in the course of your grave-robbing escapades.

Direct-feed Uncharted gameplay videos one, two and three are now showing on Eurogamer TV. Drake's Fortune hits PS3 on 20th November in the US, and later this year for us lot. site

Your toughts about this game ?

Cows. lets not hype more AAA's in 2007. Uncharted has a good chance of getting AAA but just play it safely. Naughty Dog is a very ambitious team but if Uncharted is 7 hours like HS then I'm gonna get pissed.

Ninja theory said the same thing. They are talking about casual gamers.

I agree that Uncharted and R&C have good chance of AAA but let's wait for some more reviews before we make an estimate.

I'm gonna say not GOTY, gameplay is currenty looking generic at this stage of development.northcountry

Yeah, this is the best I've seen so far of PS3 next to RFOM. It has a shot at AAA. I'm worried about the gameplay though. I'm wondering how they're going to keep it interesting. I see the shooting gameplay is extremely equal to gears of war's, and although gears got a great score, the gameplay was definately its weakpoint. Also I didn't notice the strongest point of gears gameplay, which is the fluid shifts between movements and getting from cover to cover in a fast way. Of course graphically this looks great, and story and the puzzles will probably be awesome too. I'd just hesitate before hyping this game AAA too.

As far as it goes for GOTY... no. Just no. You'd only have to look up a couple of mass effect vids to understand that. PS3 GOTY is a good possibility though.

Ratchet & Clank says otherwise, this game looks AA tops. Most likely an A, judging by the gameplay.

Wow, Gears of War had way better gameplay than this does.

Because it is, there isnt even very many enemies on screen at once in Drakes Fortune. And the ones there just seem to stay in one place and shoot. It does look like a decent game, but nothing to get too excited about. Dont worry, MGS4 is still coming out next year. Not to mention Ratchet & Clank looks like a good game.
