We'll see when they make their own complete game, first. Making a map pack is one thing - adding to the cannon of the Halo universe is another.
Basinboy
They've already addded awhole lotof canon into the Halo series.
-Halo Legends
-Halo Evolutions
-Collaborated on the Halo Graphic Novels
-Halo: Cryptum (novel)
-Halo Waypoint
-They've STUCK TO PRE-ESTABLISHED CANON while doing all this, unlike Bungie.

I don't understand what you mean by "unlike Bungie," but then again I don't really follow the Halo universe outside of its games. Well, except for the anime, I did watch that (and thought it was alright, definitely liked to ODST squad with the fem spartan. The Elite story though was so dumb, although the art was awesome).
Im glad Halo is in good hands. They seem dedicated to keep the hype for every Halo game.
Halo 3 first Xbox game :D
[QUOTE="Diviniuz"]Certain Affinity is making the map packs not 343 studiosRavensmashIt's a joint development.
They still had a huge portion to do with it, no one gives them any damn credit. Joint-Development would be there help with Halo Waypoint, which again they didn't get any credit for. But the map packs were definitely leaning more on Certain Affinity than 343 studios.
343 Studios are spending their time with the Halo CE remake and more so "forsaw" the Defiant map pack creation providing the engine and utilities and some developement support.

I see your point, I don't know too much about CA actually. Yeah, it's kind of like LA Noire and Team Bondi. Even on the Gamespot video page where the narrator clearly states "Team Bondi AND Rockstar..." all the comments relate to Rockstar. Feel bad for them because they could end up with a potential GOTY, and everyone will be shouting Rockstar :P *realises he's gone off topic...* But the video did ease a lot of worry I had, remarkable how similar the video felt to Bungie's Vidocs. When the Halo fanbase is very nitpicky over maps (even the later Bungie maps) then a positive reaction from fans is a very positive sign of where they want to take the series. Did you also watch the video Rage? They are clearly catering towards the fanbase, video reassures a lot of people.because making maps is reallly difficult and definitely shows a devs talent

There haven't been any really stellar maps in Halo in a long time. Good maps are a good thing.because making maps is reallly difficult and definitely shows a devs talent

Good to see that halo looks like its in good hands now. Halo is one of the few franchises that always seemed true to it's roots. It's incredible that halo reach actualy brought me nostalgia, with it being new a game.
Highland looks the best of the three maps. Part of me enjoyed the first version of highland more (well the bits we've seen) but i like the final version.
[QUOTE="Basinboy"]343 didn't make the map pack, Certain Affinity did (they also made the Black ops map pack) And some maps for Halo 2We'll see when they make their own complete game, first. Making a map pack is one thing - adding to the cannon of the Halo universe is another.
