Im not saying its the better console, and im not saying ps3 is better, im saying its always the console that gets things first.

COD4 map pack comes out on 360 3 weeks before ps3 gets it

Vegas 2 map pack Week eailer on 360

Rock Band 2, first on 360 (scene many times with EA and Ubisoft produced games)

NOW, Resident Evil 5 demo "One week before the ps3"

why are compainies doing this? they have both done, they have to give 360 the little advantage in release dates

Is this because Microsoft pays the company? that seems like the only logical explaination.

If I had to guess its because most games are developed on the 360, meaning it takes more time to make the necessary adjustments so that they operate well on the PS3.

interesting concept, but that is false, depending on the company, if its said to be PORTED to the ps3 then it was developed on 360, but COD4 was said to have been created perfectly on every system

It's strategy. And it's about money. It sucks for gamers though, because it's not really one console getting something early. It's more about another one getting it late.

MS are just making sure that their paying customers are first in line and even let them cut in line so they can be in the vip room. It's just business, some companies are good at it, some are just playing catch up.

I wouldn't be too quick to assume that money is involved here... it seems much more likely that Microsoft is just faster at processing the content for release via their marketplace, than Sony is via their Store...

its called the Playstation Store, and i dought that "taking longer to put on the store" will have to do with companies making it late for the ps3 Im sure companies are doing this for some reason, possibly money is involved, but it seems Microsoft does brag about it, like "Rock band 2, FIRST ON X360" we all remember those commercials

This is the main reason. Contrary to what cows wnat us to believe, that MS is moneyhatting every single thing that has to do with xbox360, the fact of the matter is the ps3 takes longer to develop for and cost more, thus the reason why simple things like a demo require extra amount of time for the ps3.

That's just one example, so calling it false is jumping the gun, especially with no proof. How does it affect a PS3, Wii, or PC-only owner if they get to play something a week or two later? Does it affect your decision to buy it?

really "extra amount of time" are you saying it takes longer to put out a demo on the PSN? Were are you getting your sources that it takes longer?

I don't think MS are paying the companies, it's just companies probably just feel that they'll make more of an impact if they release their product on the 360 than PS3 due to the userbase. And I think because the PS3 is a video game console and a blu ray player, maybe these companies just want to focus on the main video gaming console, the 360 just a little bit more.

no it doesnt, but my question is why is this happening? Being honest, it does affect my decision allitle, when i see a company that are sell outs to MS, giving them games before Although i own a 360 and a PS3, the more time goes by, the less i play my 360, i just question why 360 gets advantages __ It makes me feel like i should use my 360 to get those advagtages, I was planning to sell my 360, but this is whats holding me back, 360 seems like it gets these small advagtages, and i feel i shoukld hang on to it to get demos and map packs first

I would say yes. It is a good thing too, because we are paying for Xbox Live.

That a good reason, paying for live might be the reason MS wants to give them the extra little advantage, For got about that

So basically, because you're slowly becoming a Playstation head, you're upset that you're favorite system does not get everything at the same time as another does? You sound a bit jealous. You actually reconsider buying something when the maker of the game is in ca-hoots with the enemy of the company you happen to love. But I'm sure you wouldn't have these feelings if it were the other way around. Tsk tsk.

it's business they get ahead of things before any other company. i don't care about anything about how one company get's a game first or a demo comes out first.

MS doesn't pay, in the experience I have - the people behind XBL were often just plain faster than PSN, and something submitted to both on the same day would be released a week earlier on Live. Besides that, most developers want to put the focus/marketing on the 360 of their own accord, anyway.
