360 and PS3 wasssup?

for the last 4 months we been arguing wich is better and how Wii is being a success and the new Xbox 360 elite. one thing i noticed is Xbox 360 is ATM not so hot there last system selling game was Gears and since then there lineup has been Toe to Toe almost the exact as the PS3 my Question is does MS really expect too win with just gears and Halo 3 as there main System sellers? Seems like with both Consoles we doing a whole lotta waiting. but the Wii is trying to get atleast 1 new great 1st party games each month.

but seems like Sony and MS are waiting for the 3rd party games and be lazy and not make any 1st party games this is mostly on MS part there 1st party games are almost none existant. i don't hear much other than 360 is better. what makes a console betetr is the games not it's performance. the PC has gotten moregood games in the last 4 months than both Systems wassup with that sure Xbox just got guitar hero but that does little when Eb has amillion traded in guitars for the PS2 wich means everyone who wanted it already been had it. I don't even see anything coming to 360 for the next 2 months. this is by far the worst time to make an elite model with no new games to advertise it with. fact is no one cares about old games and in the console BZness 6 months is old already. gears already lost it's hype and only people wanna play it already have it.

This is totally my opiniuon but i'm a consumer who was gonna purchase an Xbox 360 and i don't see any new games for a few months that would entise me to buy one. this month they have, rayman rabbid and spider man 3 coming and thats about it. why is 360 so elite ? where the games MS you can't win on 3rd partys only make your own games please. hurry before Sony catches up there actually making 1st party games to make those 3rd party multiplatform more entising on there system. i'm on the fence and i was leaning towards 360 but not i'm in the middle. Even with the original Xbox the first party lineup was small will it continue on Xbox? hope not cause Sony may not be the best at first pary games but they do make alot of them.

And the games out for the Wii are spectacular? Besides look at games like Kameo and Resistance, Motorstorm and Lost Planet if you want to compare games that are out.

I get the distinct impression that Microsoft doesn't care. Now I own a 360 and I'm all for the success of it. Heck, I even think it's hardware is superior to that of the PS3. But when it all comes down to it, it seems as if Microsoft just doesn't care.

They're making profit on each console sold, which means a $75(US) price drop would be extremely easy to do, not to mention they're making money on the Xbox live service. Hell, they're making money on map downloads for Lost Planet and Gears Of War. Which I think is cruel for them to do, and they shouldn't be charging for that.

If they wanted too, they could easily sell the 360 for $100 less and make Xbox live free. And in doing so they would mostly likely win the console war. But I don't think they want to win. I think they're just going for a market share and that's it.

And why would Microsoft make a crappy game? It makes no sense. Plus just because a game is first party doesn't mean it's automatically good. The games I listed were the games that look good and the games that are good. Plus Microsoft has third party exclusives. Dead Rising and Lost Planet? I don't dispute that they may have lost money.  But I still think they don't care if they come first this generation.  The 360's gpu is so close to having DX10 capabilities, it's not even funny.  With an extra spurt of effort it would have had it.  And could they really care about the consumers if they're charging for map downloads to an already $60 game.  Microsoft has even said they want Xbox Live users to get used to paying for things on their live service.  If that's their attitude, their going to lose.

he is right they are 360's only system sellers the games you mentioned arent even out yet and will probably be on PC

Your main concern seems to be the games, and that nothing is releasing that you like.  You just haven't been watching that closely then.  I bet there are a dozen games at least already out that would be worth the purchase for you.  I'm not saying there are 12 good games, just that there has to be at least 12 that would interest you if you gave them a serious look.  The 360 has been out long enough and with enough compelling content that it would take you far more than next six months to a year to catch up.  So if you are worried about what's coming in the next couple of months, that's a bit silly.  There's plenty to keep you busy until Mass Effect, Assassin's creed, GTA, Halo 3, etc. come out.

seriously you shouln't care about that. if you like lost planet, dead rising, GOW, Halo, Mass effect, BlueDragon, Forza 2, lost odesey, eternal sonata, Too human (hope it will get better) and more stuff then there are game worth a purchase. doesn't matter if out there they spent 20mill on advertisement and nobody bought it. if it interest you, you buy it, or do you base your purchase on fame? 

i know i base my purchase on what its good to me. like ninety nine nights, sonic, table tennis, enchant arms, DOA4, lost planet, GOW, oblivion, ffxi and more that i'm looking for to buy like dead rising and the ones that havent release yet.

Fanboy alert.  Come on, you can't be serious.  What would you have to wait for?  If you don't already own a 360 (and you said you don't), then there's tons to keep you busy right now.  You don't have to wait for anything.  I've been playing my 360 like crazy since launch and I haven't run out of things to play.  I'm thinking you aren't at all sincere about considering purchasing a 360 and this post was just a way to try to point attention to a 360 dry spell, when the truth of the matter is the industry in general is slow this time EACH year.

for the last 4 months we been arguing wich is better and how Wii is being a success and the new Xbox 360 elite. one thing i noticed is Xbox 360 is ATM not so hot there last system selling game was Gears and since then there lineup has been Toe to Toe almost the exact as the PS3 my Question is does MS really expect too win with just gears and Halo 3 as there main System sellers? Seems like with both Consoles we doing a whole lotta waiting. but the Wii is trying to get atleast 1 new great 1st party games each month.

but seems like Sony and MS are waiting for the 3rd party games and be lazy and not make any 1st party games this is mostly on MS part there 1st party games are almost none existant. i don't hear much other than 360 is better. what makes a console betetr is the games not it's performance. the PC has gotten moregood games in the last 4 months than both Systems wassup with that sure Xbox just got guitar hero but that does little when Eb has amillion traded in guitars for the PS2 wich means everyone who wanted it already been had it. I don't even see anything coming to 360 for the next 2 months. this is by far the worst time to make an elite model with no new games to advertise it with. fact is no one cares about old games and in the console BZness 6 months is old already. gears already lost it's hype and only people wanna play it already have it.

 

This is totally my opiniuon but i'm a consumer who was gonna purchase an Xbox 360 and i don't see any new games for a few months that would entise me to buy one. this month they have, rayman rabbid and spider man 3 coming and thats about it. why is 360 so elite ? where the games MS you can't win on 3rd partys only make your own games please. hurry before Sony catches up there actually making 1st party games to make those 3rd party multiplatform more entising on there system. i'm on the fence and i was leaning towards 360 but not i'm in the middle. Even with the original Xbox the first party lineup was small will it continue on Xbox? hope not cause Sony may not be the best at first pary games but they do make alot of them.

Thanks for making me laugh. It really made this day much better. Btw I plan on getting a Wii first. When I get a HDTV I will most likely buy a 360 (Especially if FF and/or MGS are multiplat)

:shock: wTF..... i cant....did he say....... is he insulting a mgs game!!......:shock:.......i think my face just died..........mgs is probably the 1st or 2nd biggest series of games sony has....( GTA first(but they lost that now) and final fantasy). he who insults mgs, has either never played it, or has lost the brain power to move his thumbs
