360 Arcade being lowerd to $149

I just saw someone from Microsoft say on Gametrailers. That is pretty interesting also. I guess they did not wnt to mention in the main conference because they were pushing the new model.

This would have, could have been major news. Instead it's being relegated to an off-hand mention after the show?... how suspicious... maybe they're phasing out the Arcade and getting rid of the remaining stock, after all, why would they keep producing 360 Fats after redesigning the system?

150 BUCKS FOR A 360??......thats INSANE....that basically means that anyone from any fiscal level ( you could be a kid working part time at ritas water ice ) can affford a 360.

I never saw anything about the xbox 360 going down but if its then MS is making the right move and really giving the people something that they want. Refurbrished 360 here I come.

However, I will still give onlive a shot for one month to see how well I like it. If it doesn't work out than refurbrished 360 with no online play maybe the best solution for awhile to money gets better.

probably wasn't mentioned because they are going to phase out this sku. It makes zero sense to not announce a price drop during the conference. ANYTHING like this might have salvaged that abomination of a conference.darthogre

They wanted the focus to be aimed at the redesigned 360, so it makes sense.

Im not sure why someone would buy a Arcade model over the new Slim model. you jsut get so much more from the 299 slim model that it would be stupid not to pay the extra 150 bucks.

Probably a Arcade with 20GB HDD or no HDD and flash memory of 1GB and WiFi hopefully for $199

Just 50 bucks more than the right price to me. Getting there, when it hits $99, I may grab one for the few games it has that interest me.

Yeah I watched that too. They said the previous models will take $50 dollars off. Good prices but man that new 360 do look really nice though.

Its still to expensive for a Arcade without a HDD. We all know how expensive it is for a decent size HDD. If MS would include a 20 GB HDD with the Arcade it would really boost there sales.djsifer01

nobody is really going to buy it since the elite is 250 as well its like they are going in a circle with their price drops
