here's something that fanboys dont realize....because of teh European launch, teh ps3 is about the same as the 360. But at the time of teh european launch the ps3 was selling more than the 360. Now it's selling the same..what does taht tell u.

And without Japan, the wii would be the same as the 360 right now.

And that's why Japan is important and not excluded from hardware sales numbers. It's like saying, without the US, the 360 would be the same as the PS3 right now.

With Nintendo and Sony working together to provide 1080p for the Wii, there is no need to own an Xbox 360.

Why is it a good thing for the PS3 to be selling as well as the 360 was last year? Surely all that means is, if it keeps that up it will always be last. cakeorrdeath

It's good to see someone besides me trying to raise this point. It doesn't matter how well the PS3 sells compared to the 360 launch, because it's still in 3rd place. For the PS3 to do well, it has to outsell the 360 enough that the 360's 1 year lead is erased.

With Nintendo and Sony working together to provide 1080p for the Wii, there is no need to own an Xbox 360.

That link you provided is of a Wii hooked up to an upscaler. Are you really willing to tell me that games on the Wii upscaled to "1080p" are the equal to 360 games natively in 720 or 1080p? Please.
