that the 360 is unreliable

I mean, yeah 360 has the best games, its what a console gamer who loves games needs, if they don't own it, then they aren't a gamer like they pretend

but you have to admit that the 360 is such an unreliable POS! I mean I'm on my 3rd 360 right now... : -( And both of the ones i bought were brand new, not refurbished (Had EB Games warrenty which gives you a brand new 360)

But I mean, I'm soo scared about my 3 60breaking before halo 3, that i put it away in my metalcarry on case since June of 2007 : - O

I Even got Bioshock for 10 bucks, good value eh? Played it for 3 hours, but then got scared about it breaking so i backed it away again : - (

I have an X360. I love the games on it and I am a fan of them... but a fan of the console itself? I don't think so... MS has to really step up and make sure the hardware is functional.

No it didn't, look at the games 360 has, AA and AAA, and I said CONSOLE not PC either way, so you have to be stupid if you think its not a gamers console right now on the market/

That pretty much sums it up for me as well.......

I got my 360 on the launch date, which is coming up on 2 years now. About 6 months ago, my 360 broke down. I sent it in to get repaired with $139 or so dollars and got back the 360 about 1 and 1/2 weeks later, since then everything has been cool.

But I did loose faith in the company for that, and am no fanboy of microsoft. BUTTTTT I did get some faith restored when I got a $139 check in the mail the other day from Microsoft telling me they where sorry and they owed me the money. I was really impressed about that, and it also extended my warranty. So as of now if it breaks down again they will fix it free, so im not at all worried about it. I would be more worried about owning one of the other systems if the one year warranty is about to expire and it breaks down.

The new 360's don't break like the old ones. I have an HDMI-enabled one (my old one messed up so with my PRP I replaced it at BestBuy) and it works perfectly.

And it doesn't even sound like a jet engine is in my room.

yes i understand that. Although, i didnt do it intentionally. I keep my 360 on the ground floor of my basement and my basement is nice and cool. I keep it under my tv stand and nothing else is by it so my 360 gets great airflow. I didnt plan it out like that it was just the way it worked out for me.

I understand what your saying though. Thats what my friend was saying when i told him to move his 360.

The 360 is a smaller design compared to the original xbox and also the ps3. When you fit a lot of 90nm power in a small box you have overheating problems. mabye if you guys didnt cry so much about how big and bulky the original xbox was then maybe ms would have opted for a larger box.

i have my pc in large lower. My cpu and gpu both have aftermarketcoolingsolutions. My gaming case is large and has a wind tunnel. I also have five additional fans in my gaming case with speed control as well. Even with all of this, an overclocked core2duo and overclocked 8800 series video card can run hot after a while. If I covered the fans i bet my pc would crash right away. I cant imagine why ms would put such sophisticated hardware in such a small box.

None of my friends who have 360 (probably 20-30) have ever had their 360 break and only my launch one died after 1 year and now is going extremely strong after 1 repair. My new HDMI Premium is also running perfectly fine without a problem.

Honestly, so many of the broken 360's are due to user error. I've seen so many pictures of people running their 360's in tight areas or on the carpet and then they complain their 360 died.

Halo 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect, PGR 4, Eternal Sonata, Lost Odessey, Too Human, Alan Wake, Halo Wars, Banjo Threeie, Huxley, Fable 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Left For Deadand Splinter Cell Convictions! All of these games are either 360 exclusive or on PC/360 and not on Wii or PS3. Then you factor in all of the awesome multiplats that are hitting in 2008 and Id say its a safe bet that the 360 APPEARS to have the best line up of games for the forseeable future!

The big problem is, PS3 has a lot of great franchises, but no one knows when the **** they will be released, so they just put all the big names in a list for 2008, which is stupid, where as the list you posted is all for this and nexxt year and is pretty amazing/

Eh Ilm still on my first 360 for going on a year. No over heating and I actually have a library of good games to choose from.

I wouldn't say it is unreliable. I would say it is not as reliable as it should be. MS has even said it is not as reliable as they want it to be.

That all said, I find it strange that people claim to have gone through 3 systems. You have to be doing something "not smart" (like leaving it on carpet or in an enclosed entertainment center) or just have the worst luck in the world. Even if 1 in 4 systems is faulty, you have to be cursed to find that "1" not once, but three times.

I really don't get why Microsoft hasn't fixed this yet. If anything, just make the 360 bulkier. Seriously, it's been 2 years and it is costing them billions of dollars, and they still haven't fixed it.

Eternal Sonata will be on PS3 with two extra characters.

Lost Odyssey is FFVIII with current gen graphics

What can match that? Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted (you listed Too Human, so i'll list games with potential also), Infamous, Metal Gear Solid 4, White Knight Story, Star Ocean 4, Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 2, Tekken 6 and LittleBigPlanet.

I'm not saying PS3's lineup is better, but atleast cows know that those games can't be played on any other system aside from Tekken 6 (if you wanna be a nubcake and count arcade)

360 or PS3 doesn't appear to have the best anything, its all based on personal preference. IMO PC is way better, its just too bad for now i'm going to have to settle for games that will be on PC also since I have a 360. If I wanted to I couldn't even brag about a game because they can just say "i'll get the PC version"

Uh, okay. An extended warranty is nice, butthat's ignoring the problem, not fixing it.Microsoft isn't saving any money by doing it, and your not getting your 360 back any faster. Besides, the warranty should've been there in the first place, people shouldn't have to pay for a defective console.
