Lack of originality.......I never see some fresh and original 360 games like Okami, Shadow of the colossus, Trauma Center, Kamatary Series.....Only shooting, shooting & shooting....Shooting human or alien to death......Except Viva Pinata of course.......Is that only 360 to offer?

Your evidence is pretty underwhelming. Anyone who is educated knows Viva Pinata is not the only non-shooter game on the 360. Do some research, I did. That's how I ended up with a 360.

That doesnt really say much.... And yeah in all honesty I am tired of killing aliens that have invaded earth inorder to destroy all humans...its gotten pretty old pretty fast...but then again originality seems to be a thing of the past...every game is a spin off of a successful game...its adds and subtracts a few features but never really sets itself apart from anything else in its genre... Of course I would say this is true for both the 360 and PS3...neither have any truely original games out yet, of course thats just my opinion.

Yeah true. It seems like a cross between State of Emergency and Shaun of the Dead. It is likely the best choice on 360 right now though.

Don't mind. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Calling dead rising an RE ripoff for example is just crazy. Also he mentions all those games, and just puts behind it "just another *insert games genre here*" mentioning a lot of genres. Prey was creative, dead rising was creative, gears of war was creative etc. He's never played the games, that's all.

No matter what game you pick, someone is bound to name another game it reminds them of. Someone said Table Tennis is new, yes it is but it reminds me of Pong.

He said original! Ninety Nine Knights is almost exactly the same as Dynasty Warriors albeit a little more characters on screen at once. Dead Rising is so unoriginal it hurts. Viva Pinata is original! Have you ever heard of growing living Pinatas in a garden and shipping them off to entertain at parties before? No. That is original. Table Tennis isn't original! God, people were playing it with pong! Crackdown is very similar to GTA, and the idea of a superhuman copper ain't all that imaginative either. Saints Row is so much like GTA it hurts, so no, not original.

Oh and after all that, don't think I hate the 360, coz I got one, and I love it and cherish it. You just made me so angry by claiming that these titles were original, as the only original title there is Viva Pinata.

Get it right next time, you made yourself look like you had the basic understanding of an 11 year old.

These games felt fresh to me (you may feel differently based on experience and games played, this is just my opinion) for different reasons:

Totemball (interactive control mechanics)

Just Cause (the base diving, parachuting and stunts)

Hexic (rules and strategy for the puzzler)

Gears of War (power re-load, cover system felt fresh compared to others)

Condemned (first entertainment media to put me on edge and scare some in years)

Enchanted Arms (*only the grid element of the battles felt fresh)

Dead Rising (It just felt original)

I feel that some games because of their world, characters, story and/or gameplay mechanics can really help games feel fresh even if they do fall into a specific genre. It is like saying a Final Fantasy can't still feel fresh to some people because you ultimately do very similar things or that certain games that aren't even listed can't continue to follow their genre defined standard and still be fun because they provide good solid gaming.

meh.... i only see more emphasis on shooters than orignal games, i went to the store and haven't heard some of the games that came out for 360..i was surprised, im usually on top of things.

Doesn't have to be a new genre, but how about more games like Culdcept/Katamari/Viva Pinata?
