Alot of online games, and probably the most played/balanced online this year (Halo 3) is enough to sell me the system tyvm.

Shame the PS3 only has a better CPU, the least important of the Triangle.

well as a matter of fact, i have never played counter stource so i have no idea why thats is in there, or 'bashed' it for that matter :). but the point is halo does nothing for gaming, its basicaly halso 2 with more guns and vehicles, and yet there are still people writing songs about it, and wired shows for that matter....

The term "overrated" is very subjective so when u say overrated it only means u. not every other Halo fan.

I am (horror of all horros) an ex-lemming. I own both Halos and I used to firmly believe they were the "bestest gamez evar!" Then I started to lose faith in Bungie and microsoft. Then lo-and-behold, I bought Timesplitters and it blew my mind. After experiencing that depth, I BEGAN to play PC FPS with an open mind. I used to HATE hermits and their PCs. But I opened my mind and I realized Halo actually DOES pale in comparison to many many FPS out there. Frankly, my "console of choice" last generation WAS the xbox. This generation, until GTA, is nothing. PC is my new home.

1. My 360 still works fine, and has been for the last 7 months.

2. The 360 has plenty of future, considering how Xbox Live (online gaming? what's that?) is booming right now, and about a million big games are coming out in the next few months (Mass Effect, Forza, Halo 3, Bioshock, etc.)

3. The Wii is also destroying the PS3 in sales. Hell, the Dreamcast is probably destroying the PS3 in sales; what's your point? It's not a huge surprise that a $250 system that comes with a game and a motion-sensing controller (a real motion sensing controller) is outselling a system that goes for $400.

4. No offense, but now you're just starting to grasp at straws. Since so many games are M-rated, they don't appeal to many people? That must be why Dead Rising, Crackdown and Oblivion sold so well (among others), and don't get me started on Gears of War, which is sitting at what, 4 million copies so far? Also, have you taken a look at the PS3 library lately? The best titles are...wait for it...M-RATED! The fact of the matter is, the majority of people who have the money/are interested in buying the PS3 and 360 are 20-30 years old, which is why you'll find so many M-rated games.

5. Another half-assed point. Last I checked, PC games use DVDs as well, and you don't hear people screaming about the PC being outdated. Hardware-wise, the 360 is more than capable, and in terms of storage medium, as has been said a million times over, just ADD A SECOND DISC; it won't end the world if you have to switch a disc out. Seriously, it won't. Want to talk about annoying devs? How about how long it is to program for the PS3? Yeah, I'm sure they're really happy that they have to add months of developing time, instead of releasing a game early so it'll have more time/space to sell. Please.

Finally, you might want to write this post again when the PS3 has actually started outselling the 360, because right now it's like you're all alone in a room, screaming to yourself, waiting for people to hear you. The 360's going no where; worry about the Playstation 3.

Most people who play CS seriously will tell you CS:S isnt that great. The difference however is CS:S was never ment to be a new game, just an update on the source engine (They give it away free with HL2).

 Personally I think Halo is trash but you must be crazy to think Timesplitters has more depth than Halo. Timesplitters is a run and gun shooter. (At least in Multiplayer.)

Plenty. First off all, let me go a little retro here. Perfect Dark and Goldeneye are a tag team of greatness and customization. I could write essays on their superiority. Even still. BUT, I wont. Timesplitters series, IMO, is better because of the more customization.  However, the TS series is still a little too easy. IMO, Wolfenstein xbox version was vastly superior to Halo (and Halo 2). Riddick is most definitely better. Brothers in Arms (though sometimes painfully cheesy) is better as well.
