If you look at the Arcade model, it's only dropped $100 since November 2005, but added a wired controller and 256 MB memory... I dont expect MS to really drop the price anytime soon, especially if they are going to start bundling Natal with 360's. I can imagine them just bundling Natal with Arcades and leaving the price the same... basically adding value to the 360 rather than cut it's price. My little Patcher-esque prediction. ;)

Price drop still doesn't make it cheaper in the long run

50 bucks a year for live, 50-100 for wifi...PS3 is more expensive in initial cost but after two years you end up saving money compared to the 360.

170 for arcade is pretty ridiculous, considering the fact that I only paid 150 for Pro.

True enough, I bought an Arcade and used it for the sole purpose of playing single player games. It matched up well with my PS3, actually. (No sarcasm intended - if a PS3 owner is considering getting a 360, I wholeheartedly recommend the Arcade. Do you really need a hard drive, Wi-fi or Live Gold if you prefer playing games on PSN for free and can already download most of the shared content on your PS3?)

How badly you need all these things really depends on the person, and what they want to get out of the system. Maybe you just wanted to see what games you were missing.
