And people wonder why this game got a 10, its the mix of perfected camera/cinematic work and deep character developement..mixed in with some of the best stealth gameplay/action. Of course not everyone is into this level of emotional story telling, but you can't argue the level of detail, konami has put in it...mainly Master mind HIDEO KOJIMA.

got a PS3 specifically for MGSIV, and it was good, but it wasnt that epic. MGS3 was alot better.

Agreed. The convoluted and pretentious story filled with more cheese than an episode of SNL. This game didn't work its magic with me. I dropped it like a bad habit, but then again, it wasn't a habit, but more of a curse.

Far from epic....cant stand stealth games...but if someone is into that type of thing ...then I am sure it floats their boat

eh.....I played & finished MGS4 and rated it a 9.0 / 10.0. Great game, but far from being a perfect 10.0

I can see how an MGS fan ( or a cow ) would think MGS4 is "teh awesomest game evar !!one!!! ", but to everyone else, they'll just be lost on the story. I had to stop playing MGS4to watch GameTrailer's MGS recaps just so that I could at least keep up on the story.

For most games, the story isn't really important at all, but for MGS4, the story matters much. Great graphics, audio, and cinematics though.

MGS4 was a very well made game, but it didn't "grab me" as previous MGS games had. In a way, I was disappointed with it.

I still think MGS3 is the best in theseries.

No need to get offended over opinions. It obviously meant something to you if you feel the need to comment in such a manner.

MGS4 is a great game. I loved it when I played it, but it was far from perfect. I felt nothing for any of the characters in the game, and the story wasn't all that epic either.

Metal gear solid as a series has always been convoluted and pretentious. To expect anything new from metal gear solid 4 would be stupid. Sure it's got it's flaws, but I love it. And hate to see it bashed by someone.

A downgrade from MGS3, and had the least emphasis of stealth out of any title in the franchise. Yeah, I think I don't care.

I will admit that ending was nice but I have seen better escpially on the 360. The game Ninja Gaiden 2 ring a bell. It may no have the story but the fight were way more bad ass.

Yeah, that's what I hear. The GT TV recap made MGS3 look great. I think I was busy with Halo2 and NFL 2k5 at the time and just never got around to playing MGS3. And there's no way I'm going back & playing it now.

This is the only game that deserves a 10 on GS.

What a ride from start to finish, and you're right TC there will never ever bea game as epic as MGS4 on the 360, nor will there ever be a game as epic as MGS4 this gen...

It was 10 years in themaking and Kojima couldn't have ended it any better than he did with that last cutscene.
