Blizzard in the past year and a half, has said that making a port to 360 of WoW was something they were intrested in doing. The 360 is a very capable machine, and they needed to touch bases on several things before porting over WoW...

They said before they even consider porting over WoW they needed a keyboard and mouse peripheral...well 360 owners kind of got half of that.

1. A Keyboard and Mouse add-on for the 360

2. Integration with PC players on a Unified Network

3. Pricing Plans...(negotiations with MS)

Well the keyboard add-on is very good. Mouse is not really needed because the right analog stick can function as the mouse, and of course, the left for player movement...

If WoW does make it over to the 360, I for one will be getting it. Even though I have a capable PC, Im just a console gamer at heart.

So we may see WoW on the 360 within the next 1-2 years, if the price is right, I definetly would pick it up, and Im sure a lot of other users will too.

I really think WoW would struggle on a console. Besides the obvious issue of the KB/M which you address, the game basically requires a fluid connectivity with the modding community that consoles simply can't provide at this point. You essentially need user made mods and UIs in order to raid, PvP and do many quests, and Blizzard acknowledges this.

There's also the issue that WoW is a very RAM intensive game, even on PCs, and that's an area consoles are usually deficient in. As for HDD space, let's just say you're really going to need that 120GB HDD for WoW if you decide to go the 360 route.

Besides that too, things like TeamSpeak and Ventrillo unavailable on 360 would be hard to reconcile. Sure, specialised 360 voice chat could be set up, but that sort of makes it stale IMO.

Would it work? Probably. Would those playing it on a console be majorly disadvantaged? You betcha.

Plus, I remember Blizzard saying something about the next gen console market needing to grow a bit before it made sense to port WoW.

Yeah, very true...that was the problems Blizzard noted...the thing they did say is, they would NOT EVEN CONSIDER porting it, without the Keyboard and Mouse...now that the add-on will be available, I think they will find a way..they did say the 360 was a capable machine They did not say anything about the PS3, because the PS3 was not available at the time of their comments... The RAM issue I also believe is the biggest problem, however, as for HDD space, I dont think it will take up a considerable space on the HDD, but this could all be part of MS bigger plan to sell the bigger HDD (it has a ridiculously high profit margin). It could also come out on the PS3, although the PS3 definitely has the RAM DISADVANTAGE (anybody who thinks the PS3 RAM utilization is in anyway shape or form better than the 360's RAM utilization needs to remove themselves from the gene pool), but it may very well have the CPU ADVANTAGE (if they can utilize it properly thats is).. Im sure, if they wanted to Blizzard will find a way.

The setting and story would need to be different from WoW before i'd get into it. Not really a D&D fan myself. An mmo like that wouldnt be terrible tho....wow..idea....!! ok, so everyone in this mmo is one massive side of an army or something, and all of their quests help the greater good. eventually, it would be possible to win the game, and everyone helped. That would be dope.

It's taking up about 7 Gigs on my HDD at present. Of course, I haven't updated in a while and I never got the expansion so it'll be more than that. As it would essentially take up about 30% of a 20GB HDD it's really only feesible on the 120GB.

it's not going to happen. just give up. this gen you won't see anything from Blizzard on consoles, it's just not affordable for them( resources put into making and maintaining 360 WOW would be better spend on improving and expending pc infrastructure). Blizzard didn't close and disband all their console teams 6 months ago for no reason

There would be huge complications integrating it into XBL. They would probably have to negotiate to make it completely separate from XBL and integrated into the PC network...... which really makes it pointless because you could just play on PC. Wow is run easily on most any PC newer than 4 years and they aren't struggling for an established userbase. There's really no point in this being done. And really this would all be more easily done on PS3 because it's online system is not integrated, KB/M supported, and HDDs are standard which makes the necessary installs and huge patches doable.

Generization much? Myself and Everyone I knew IRL that played WoW had all the previous consoles, only hermits this year realize your consoles are now just budget PC's and that you mayaswell go get a PC that can do a hell of alot more. Back on topic, you can have WoW most overated time-sink pile of garbage in existance.

Once again, WoW will never be on the Xbox 360. I don't know how many times Blizzard has to deny it before the Xbox fanboys figure it out.

WoW is not a system hog. Pick up or build a cheap PC if you'd like to play it. Don't wait for a console verison that will never come.

The keyboard add-on is a joke for a game like WoW. Plus you'd still need a mouse and the ability to download mods. WoW on a console, isnt gonna happen.

i doubt 360 will have wow. i mean how can you add mods like CT raid etc that is needed for raids to a 360. yah i doubt it will come over to the 360 or any console.  and gl getting into raid guilds. if you do not have any mods for raiding , then you are pretty much SOL. and i dont see 360 getting any mods made for it.

More lemmings begging for PC ports?

If you want PC exclusives get a gaming capable PC. Simple as that. Someone wants to enjoy PDZ, or Gears of War right now they'll need a 360. Hows that any different?

Actually your wrong about it not been able to be cross-platform when it's been done in BF2:MC EA had setup there own servers for this game on both the 360, and the original XBOX. The other would be FFXI, where the servers were managed by SE. So it could be done, but we'll just have to see if they will.

Who would want to communicate in an MMO with a mini keyboard? On top of that you still have to deal with using an analog stick to move rather then a mouse.

15 * 12 = 180.

1 payment every 6 months of $75 + playing for 1 year = $150.

If you're going to say for a year then at least go with the most logical pricing plan. It's fairly obvious that not many here play the game. Which apparently you don't either, otherwise you'd know the different pricing plans. Sorry.

And, for the record, WoW would still work horribly on a console. Why anyone would want it on a console is beyond me. You don't need an enormously good PC to play the game to begin with.

For the love of god, how many times must this be said?!

*clear throats* Blizzard will never put WoW on consoles! In addition, if you think that WoW can work on consoles, please remain quiet because you have no idea what's involved in the game!

I'm not sure that Xbox Live community is interesting enough for Blizzard.

First of all, it's smaller than the WoW install base almost by half.

Second, you have to pay for Xbox Live in order to play something online.
