why are we now looking at AEs? is consistency not important? doesn't it look bad that what was once not factored in now factored in just because it's the only way to say that the 360 is still ahead of the ps3? you can't change the rules in the middle of a game.

Gamespot scores don't matter to me at all when it comes to my platform of choice. Gamespot scores only matter when I'm trying to convey an opinion on System Wars, and want to use other opinions to back up my own, so as to demonstrate that I'm not alone on my opinions no matter how crazy they might be.

When it comes to my own gaming tastes I go for what interests me whether it be a 10, 7, or 3 rated game here on Gamespot.

No. I play the games I want to play, regardless of what system they're on.

But Stevo's thread did put things into perspective, at least in terms of System Wars politics and whatnot.

Still doesn't change the fact that MGS4 is AAAAE game, and that both the Wii and PS3 have AAAAE's ,while the 360 on the other hand doesn't ( not yet at least ).

In other words, the cows were relentless and steveo_the_gamer gave in to shut them up. Everyone knows that the Xbox 360 has more exclusives than the PS3. If you want discuss the gamespot reviews of those exclusives then fine but doesn't change the fact the 360 has larger variety of games.

Cows are just upset because they are losing the console war. I have no idea how someone could possibly believe being in last place somehowconstituteswinning. How can losing to both the Wii and 360 be winning? I can say that the 360 is losing to Wii. Cows can't say the same thing because in their minds they are beating the Wii.......

As for the rest of your post, everyone knows? I don't know that. Can you give me a link to accurate lists of exclusives to each system? We should probably make a whole thread about it, because there will be a lot of discussion needed to establish what games count as exclusives. Anyway, THIS thread, and Stevo's, are about AE+ games, so we are in fact talking about gamespot reviews, specifically, 7.0 and higher. And in that category, according to Stevo's thread, which the TC credits with the info this thread is based on, PS3 has not only more AAE+, but more total AE+ as well. So the question posed by this thread is invalid. Should be "360 has more exclusives rated 7.0-7.9, but PS3 has more rated 8.0 and above, as well as total rated 7.0 and above, so does it really matter if 360 has more between 7 and 7.9?"

Exclusives wise i would say 360 and PS3 are about even. It´s just about the genres you prefer, 360 has better shooters and racing games and PS3 better action adventure games and hack and slash games.

In my opinion, when you add multiplats, PC/360 games and live arcade games, 360 is the clear winner.

AE's aren't "quality exclusives," they're "decent exclusives."

Honestly, it only really matters in the metagame, which I don't really care about. To me, metacritic paints a much more complete view of where the systems are.DarthBilf

Metacritic scores are loaded with exclusive reviewers, or random blogs, or w/e.

It'd be a much better idea to find a reviewer or two that you agree with, and judge the consoles based on the reviews they publish.

I disagree. I think Halo: Reach and Halo 3 can be considered to be a few of the best games this gen and they aren't multiplat.
