360 Mag despises Ninja Blade

Ninja Blade's stolen the Blades of Chaos and QTE boss finishes from God of War; the dodging and air combo mechanics from Devil May Cry; the 'outbreak of a horrific mutating disease in a major city' plot from, well, you name it; and the blocking, combat and general kinky theme from Ninja Gaiden. But even though bits and pieces have been pinched from today's better action games, Ninja Blade's closest cousin is laserdisc 'legend' Dragon's Lair.

And if you can remember back that far you'll recall one very, very stark fact: Dragon's Lair was just a little bit **** Even in the 1980s, back when mullets were in fashion and Power Lords action figures were considered trendy, it was **** And a massive 26 years on things haven't improved much.

I don't know if these guys are credible, but their apparent hatred of the game is something to think about.

That sounds harsh, but then again a game with a cliched name like Ninja Blades it was bound for the bargain bin like movies straight to DVDs.

Games that score under 5 have to be broken, horrible framerate, horrible controls, poor graphics, I can tell you that Ninja Blade, although not really inspiring, is a solid game.

Not really. Take the most recent Sonic, for example. Fine framerate, great graphics, yet poor gameplay brought it down.

What did they give Heavenly Sword? Because from what I heard it stole most of the same things.

I never said it had to have all of them, I forgot to say "or" :P but there are many other things that were wrong with Sonic Unleashed besides the controls. It also piss poor level design, horrible camera angles, and annoying characters.

Ninja Blade is solid for the most part and is likely a 60%-70% average game.

i just hope u realize that all though we use gamespot.......it doesnt mean everything. I hope u realize that elsewhere, it didnt get AAAA and is infact lower then Halo 3 on metacritic.com.

Xbox World 360 Magazine UK sounds like a 360 mag to me.

If a game is trash, lets call it trash and be done with it..And enough with the goddamn QTEs! They aren't fun and quite possibly one of the worst game mechanics ever. If you want to talk about dumbing something down, well there it is.

i was watching my friend play the demo, and nearly fell asleep it was that bad. It was a mishmash of good games, but poorly executed overall.

I love Ninja Blade. It could get a 1.0 and I wouldn't give a damn. I played it, finished it twice, and ate it up like a delicious slice of apple pie.

I mean first Ninja Gaiden where their is nothing "NINJA" about it. Then "Ninja blade".....Im sure they knew it was crap but people buy this stuff anyways still today....

The demo was bad...

Most games like this are like that in quality ninja gaiden was the same way and so its god of war.
