360 might be the BEST sytem ever (reasons)

I already have my flame suit on so no worries but let me put a disclaimer: I say this in regard to best system in general not the best system for ME. PC is my "drug of choice" and it isbecause of CS:S and keyboard and mouse support being STANDARD. I actually also have a PS3 and would LIKE to see that do much better.

However, The reality of the situation is that the 360 has had consistently great games from its launch to NOW. I remember putting in COD2, PGR3 and being very happy with the overall package. Then Fight Night GRAW and Gears of War really showed a good leap in progress. These are just games I had (i know there are many more showcases like oblivion etc). My friend said "the 360 is similar to the dreamcast in quality of games but over a longer period of time." I reflected on that and agree. Now there is Bioshock, Mass Effect, Halo 3, and many other AAA games out there.

Love it or hate it (and I hate the 3 rings of death though it hasn't happened to me yet and other issues with the system) but it really is turning out to be an amazing system with amazing games.

i would agree with you if the hardware didnt suck big time, i enjoy my 360 but the worst part is i know its goign to brake on me at some point and that sucks.

Definitely the system. I feel that the console has too many flaws that we didn't see in previous systems to make it the best ever.

The games I feel do not have enough variety. I love Japanese games and I absolutely hate FPS and racing games. So to me, the games are a little overrated.

Also, I don't really care about flops since that doesn't influence my perception of consoles one way or another.

agreed. a console is only as great as it's games...

Well, I have to point out that the 360 did *not* come out swinging. In many ways it was much like the original Xbox with a huge amount of trash and only gem here and there. It has since found its footing, but it took some time for that to happen.

I can best sum it up as, yes, the 360 is the BEST console ever... at breaking down.

No way the Xbox 360 is the best ever. No way. The RROD problem guarantees that.

The best system ever is the Super NES. No other system has ever combined third-party and 1st party support, graphics, price and fun like that system did. Think about all the amazing games that came out for that system that are now considered classics. For its time, it had it all. It had the edge on graphics and sound over the Genesis, it had the edge on exclusive games, and it had the edge on price (cost the same as the Genesis). It was a superior console in every possible way. And the controller was revolutionary and I consider it the best controller ever. All the other systems that have come after it have used a controller scheme very similar to it.

I think the customized PC is the best system ever.

I don't want to hear why you don't like the 360, nor am I defending the TC.

I'm just saying that if anybody overhypes anything it's cows and sheep.

The 360 only has 2 flops and it's been out twice as long as both the PS3 and Wii. The 360 also has the most official non-flops.

Wii has more flops than the 360 and PS3 and has the least official non-flops.

So far this gen sheep are the ones that have beenoverhyping the most.

It wasn't crap, it had some great titles, but overall I'd rather have a Playstation. The cost of N64 games was too high and the cartridge format limited the potential of the system big time. If it had used a CD as its medium it's possible that they would have won that system war. Oh well!
