360 Motion Sensing Arrives!

Tilt sensing is pretty useless.

Okay, not exactly true. A game build around tilt sensing like flOw or that damn duck game can be downright entertaining, but the 360 doesn't have any of those games...so why? Should you void your warranty, crack open your controller and drip solder onto the circuitry to create something far more complex than you'd ever need?

One of the big reasons I'm holding off on buying a Wii is because I don't really want motion sensing. At least this and the PS3 have it optional. aliasfreak

I still insist that motion sensing is a lousy way to control a game. For those who think it's the next big thing, please do something simple for me: center your control, and hold it there.

With motion sensing, you have to move your controller back to level, correct if you overshoot (because there's no centering feedback), and hold perfectly still to keep the input steady.

With a controller, you lift your thumb up. No overcorrecting, no accidental input. The controller does what you tell it to, when you tell it to.

I wouldn't say a third party chip that very few people will actually use i'm sure is considered "ownage"

Also I believe the PS3 controller is supposed to also sense up and down which would be actual motion sensing.

wii motion sensor with the remote and nunchuks are awesome. i wasnt fond of the sixasis so called "motion sensor". going to suck if 360 makes a similar controller like sixaxis. bleh.

Excuse me , M$ had the first tilt sensitive controller. SONY copied it.

People are making derogatory remarks about the Wii's motion controls, and yet they come right back around and pull this? Something doesn't compute.

ok.. i know a lot of things are based off other things and copying isn't a big deal in this day and age.

for serious it's like "oh noes xbox copied the "a" button off of nintendo 64."
