360 now or wait for PS3?

I am trying to decide if I should go out right now and buy a 360 Pro Holiday pack now or wait a few more months and get a PS3. The xbox seems like a really good deal right now for $240 but I wasen't going to buy another xbox since they dropped the original xbox - which is what i still currently have - once the 360 came out but sony still puts out games for the PS2, is this what microsoft will do again once the next gen comes out? I would appreiciate any help, I don't really care about getting the next new release games but I do like being able to get some new games every now and then what would you do?robkie

I highly recommend PS3. I used to have a 360 before but I sold it for a PS3. Best thing I ever did. PS3 had an amazing year for 08 and PS3's 09 lineup is just too good to be true lol. But your choice

which should be the same as the ps3 2011 2012 as thet arent going to want to realse first when they still have alot of work to do rebuilding there ps brand name. (its great however first impresions count the most...... When it came out it wasnt the best, IT IS NOW however people cant get over the concept of things changing over time so alot of people (Lems) try to convice people that the ps3 is like it is now like it was when it first came out.

The fact of the matter is that the only game that actually defines the PS3 is MGS4. And that game is only appealing to series fans. Plus it has no legs. You'll beat it and be done with it.

UNLIKE the majority of the 360's games. Most titles come packed with superb online capabilities. Sure you drop 50 bones a year, but that is a very small price to pay for the stunning experience that Xbox LIVE now offers. Before NXE, it wasn't as appealing, but now it really is. With Xbox LIVE all of your games come to life, as you can use the most integrated online service imaginable. You don't need to jump through any hoops like you do with PSN's Home in order to just get with friends. Games become more managable and relaxing. True story.

360 now cause the games are here now. More total A, AA, AAA, and a better online.

What???? Your saying PS3's 09 is better? Well thats clearly subjective....given that 360 hasnt revealed its year lineup yet and has just as many chances for AAA as PS3s.

Im sick of Sony propaganda tricking SW into thinking that PS3's 09 is leaps and bounds better then 360's 09 when itll be just like 08: VERY close.

You really can't go wrong with an XBox 360 now. It has some of the best games, imo, and most are AAA. I say, go for it. But its really up to you.

PS3 is a great system, I'm getting one soon, when another price drop comes (hopefully). But if you really want games, Xbox 360 is a logically choice, even if you're not a Live gamer, like myself. You'll still enjoy the Xbox 360.

The 360 has some many great games out and upcoming, that is already an absolute steal for what you get already, so definatly buy one, especially if you like RPG's and huge open next gen world like in WRPG's and Alan Wake, KUF2 etc

Unless you have to have a BluRay player there is no reason to own a Ps3.

I own a PS3 and an RROD'd 360 (I bought mine off of a friend who got a launch 360, and it RROD'd about 10 months later, I sold my first 360 for some school bills). And I must say I miss my 360. I own MGS4 which I bought at launch (It feels like a rental, have no motivation to replay, and I like MGS3 better), Resistance 1 ( the single player is decent, not as interesting, considering the narration, and video clips, the PC seemed lifeless), Ninja Gaiden Sigma (after playing Ninja Gaiden 2, I don't feel like playing it....I almost bought it for collection), GT5 (meh, I prefer forza, I got it for free, so I can't complain), Disgaea 3 ( I m obsessed with this game), R&C: ToD, and the QfB (not as good as UyA, but I got ToD for free), Folklore (extremely boring IMO, got it for free though, and sold it), Motorstorm (short, but got it for free), Lair (*shudders* but got it for free), Heavenly Sword (rented it, got up to the area with your first boss fight, the stuttering guy that teleports, and has wings of knives, played for 15 mins later, and was so bored, I returned it), Uncharted (good gfx, facial expressions, couldn't play it twice though)

I prefer my 360 more, I still have to get LBP, resistance 2, and VC. When I had my 360, all I really played on my PS3 were PS2 games, Disgaea 3, Blu-Ray, and the occassional game I get to try on my PS3.
