I am gonna sell my wii and buy a different system. Why are these topic still allowed? If you're definitely going to get a PS3 then why are you even asking in the first place?jack_russel
I second that.

Get a PS3, you get pretty much all the X360 games along with a lot more exclusives. With PS3 you also get the best 2008 lineup, the best hardware, the best games graphically (Uncharted and Unreal Tournament), the best reliability, and the most features. Don't underestimate how nice it is to have Blu-ray movies and an internet browser. If you have or plan on ever having a HDTV PS3 is the only way to go.
Also ironically it ends up costing a lot less than X360, because you aren't forced to buy proprietary addons and pay for extra services. A good example of how X360 costs more: Rockband wireless guitar: $59 on PS3, $79 on X360 because they have to pay MS a fee. Xbox live $50/yr vs free online with PS3. Harddrive upgrade, proprietary X360 drive 120gb $179, I have a 500gb external drive for my PS3 and it cost me $109. etc, etc...

Ignore 75% of the first paragraph, it is all bs. More exclusives, best games graphically, most features????? And your right about HDTV being the only way to go with a PS3, that's because it looks like crap if it isn't on a HDTV.
Lier, lier, pants on fire.
I love this " Get PS3 it has Blu-ray and the best 08 line up"
1. Cheaper Blu-ray players will be made in 1-2 years...buying a PS3 for that reason just isn't very smart...
2. Who says it has the best 08 games?!?!?! None of those games are even out yet! So unless you have a magic ball I don't see how you know which console the best line up.

I got Gears and it's better on my PC, Halo sucks, but Mass Effect I'd love to have. But I'm not dropping hundreds of dollars on a system that will die on me to play it. I got really close to getting an X360 when H3 came out but decided against it when I realized people were still getting the RROD. Two years and they still can't get the X360 working right. That's ridiculous.. Anyway now with all the games out and coming out on PS3 I have lost all desire to ever pick up an X360. I can't even get to all the games I want to play as is.

What makes you think we want to drop hundreds of dollars for a console with minor upgrades in graphics and lackluster exlusives?
Dont look at what the system has out now..just like with you own life you need to look to the future. And imo ps3 has more to offer in the future.Hyde006
hahahaha, thats a true PS3 fan there! hahahahahaha

-More exclusives is a fact. You can research it yourself. Sony has twice the in house studio development of Microsoft and Nintendo combined. They also have the top franchises exclusive, SOCOM, God of War, Metal Gear, Gran Turismo, Wipeout, etc... If you want those games you have to get a PS3.
- Best games Graphically- It's a fact Unreal Tournament and Uncharted are the two best games graphically. Not only that, but Gamespy, Eurogamer and Ripten have all said so as well. And they've gone as far as to say that Uncharted is flat out not even possible on X360.
-Most Features - X360 does not have remote play, it does not have HDMI 1.3 and lossless audio, it does not have Blu-ray movie support, doesn't let you store your music videos etc on the system itself, no internet browser etc, etc.... PS3 totally outclasses the X360 in it's other capabilities

...still doesn't justify spending 400 dollars and rebuying everything...do fanboys use common sense? The console that releases first will win the war....Casuals aren't going to spend 400 dollars on a console plus tons more on games only to drop everything just because another console comes along.

Really? Cheaper?
Well, save up all your receipts for the console, accessories, addons, LIVE, (minus the cost of the games) and it will end up costing more than the 40GB ps3.

Who is the name of the man with the gun to your head who made you buy those accessories? There are currently 16m xbox 360s in homes around the world...Only 10 m people hooked up to xbox live....Not everyone has xbox live...As far as your wireless adapter situation...You could easily wire up and ethernet cord through your ceiling or wall for a lot cheaper...
they whole "PS3 is cheaper in the long run" agrument is stupid and overused....no one is making you buy these accessories...its your choice.
