Asked my self the same question, and I'm getting a 360 after my exams. You can choose from a big library and those games you like are the most represented on that console.
But why over the 360? Just because its the one you have? I've got all 3 consoles and in my experience, he'd have better variety (and in most cases, better graphics, replayability & online) on the 360.
sounds like 360 with games like gears of war, sacred 2, too human, fable , halo, bioshock(well ps3 will get this too) crackdoown, shadowrun and many other titles in those genres, the 360 sounds like you choice, the ps3 will be getting resitance and killzone 2 for shooters soon, but atm it seems like it has to few titles in each explict genre, but ta least it has games in each genre. If u care about potential and not playing games tho, ps3 is your choice cause of blu-ray and free psn, it has potential but it looks very unlikely if it will even go anywhere.
get the ps3.. You can play those games and also watch blu-ray movies. If we talk about Long terms, a ps3. So get the ps3. It's more solid. Get the 80gb ps3, not the 40 gb ps3.
xbox 360 has lot of cool games but the xbox 360 is not that stable as a ps3 system. And you need to pay for online experience.
