Let me tell you something you cant say that one console is better than the other. You chose the console that you enjoy more. Your blue-ray player or you better online. Its your preference that cant be debated with. So thats why you look at sells. Heres what you can say My PS3 (or 360) is funner than the 360 (or PS3) because... or you like them both.winterMarine
hardware wise, ps3 is superior... so yeah you can :P
I like them both, but I like the fact my 360 gets the better version of multiplats and i like how my PS3s exclusive are some of the best looking games on consoles and i like them a bit more then the 360 exclusives rigth now, save for Gears and Halo.
ps3 also gets a much wider variety in exclusives though.
theuncharted34
thats why I like PS3s exclusvie Libararey more then 360 lately. My 360 is a multiplatform box. I still like the exclusives on it I like though.
out of my 360 and ps3, its my ps3, free online, better controller IMO, just amazing games, though during the summer my 360 got some major love with lost oddessy "awesome rpg"

Like I said you choose hardware over who knows what. Thats your opinion.[QUOTE="theuncharted34"][QUOTE="winterMarine"]Let me tell you something you cant say that one console is better than the other. Like I said you choose hardware over who knows what. Thats your opinion."facepalm" I just said one thing is clearly superior on one console than another. Nothing more, nothing less. It's not my opinion the ps3 is stronger and has better hardware, it's a fact :D
EDIT: games are subjective, but the ps3 has a wider variety of games, that is not subjective :| then everything else is subjective.
i like my ps3 more because of the exclusives, available multiplats, and the multimedia functions. it is the center piece of my livingroom, for music and movies so i like the ps3 more.
PS3 has the games I want more so it fits me better. There was no way I was going to miss GoW III after playing the masterpieces on the PS2. Then, a ton of other high quality games like Uncharted and Infamous came along and it just made my experience better. It really comes down to Sony having Naughty Dog, Insomniac, and Sony Santa Monica making games for them. On the PS2, I just happened to buy games from those studios and I loved them, especially Ratchet and Clank and God of War. With that in mind, it was inevitable that the PS3 was going to get a great library after the slow start.
Notice how I'm not even mentioning blu-ray. I don't care about that either. I haven't watched one blu-ray on my PS3. That's just a extra bonus for me. I will say though that the fact that the system is more future proof was an additional tiny incentive for me to go with that system.
Also, PS3's online is free, the way its suppose to be and that fits with me. It's good enough to play online without lag and with mics, and that's all I care about.
That's not to say that I don't like the 360. It was the first system I got this gen because of a game called Gears of War. Unfortunately, Sony later came out with this series called Uncharted and took the things I liked about Gears of War (excluding the gore) and made it better. Mass Effect 2 I was later very interested in playing with Mass Effect 1 (I have Mass Effect 1 on my gaming laptop, but it didn't run too well. May have been driver issues). Now it's coming to the PS3 too. So that's it Gears, I found a better alternative. Mass Effect 2, coming to the PS3. And then there's Halo Reach, a great game, but I can't stand the gunplay of that game. It has pretty much everything gameplay/multiplayer wise, but I do not like the gun play at all. With the PS3, I have the option of bad company 2, killzone series, and resistance series + other multiplats.
The thing is, I understand if you only own one console you not caring about multiplatform differences, but since i own both this is actualy a big plus for 360 since they get the better version. And why wouldntyou get the better version ifyou can? Thats what I like about 360.
[QUOTE="ferret-gamer"]I like the ps3 more. it has team ico.johny300Agreed, also TC i prefer the ps3 more because it has better exclusives imo and it's a better hardware than the 360.
i agree with both the comments. PS3 has the best exclusives
For years I was only interested in the Xbox360. I liked the game selection better at first and planned only to play limited multiplayer. My brother eventually picked up an Xbox and now the only multiplayer I do is co-op with him. (As an older gamer I was completely turned off by the immature ranting in the public games.)
But now there are a handfulf PS3 exclusives that I'd like to play and a few coming soon (GT5, Last Guardian) that I want to play. And even though I don't plan to buy many Blu-ray movies it's nice knowing I can.
So far I'm finding both systems to be very strong on features I care about. Both offer great online purchasing and downloading options and both have great power and graphics. I'd might have to give the PS3 a slight nod on graphics on theirexlusivesbutI' amnoticing a lot of screen tearing on the PS3 games. Nothing I've seen yet however would make me prefer one over the other if I have tobase it on graphics alone.
The PS3 gets high marks for offering included WiFi, larger hard drive and a blu-ray player for the same cost. But those cost saving feature aside, there is one difference in the two systems that I find that really separates the two ....
The controller on the Xbox360 is a much more comfortable device than the outdated design of the DS3 controller. I never liked the feel of the DS2 on PS2 and so I'm equally disappointed with the DS3. When it comes to ergonomics the Xbox controller is hands down the more comfortable one. The DS3 is smaller so I was also surprised to hear my 9 year old kids tell me that they also like the slightly larger Xbox controller. The DS3 is a usable device but 'm finding it very difficult to get comfortable with when I'm playing FPS games which require you to use both R1 and R2 buttons. The buttons are just not as nicely sized or positioned as they are on the Xbox controller.
For this reason I will probably buy most of my multiplatform games for the Xbox.
Where do you buy your games at? Because from where i get my games from, both the 360 and the ps3 games cost 60 bucks. You can usually find a whole shelf full of $20 360 games at Wal-Mart, and usually only a handful of $20 PS3 games. Not to mention, the 360 had a year's worth of games by the time of the PS3's launch, and you can usually find those games for dirt cheap prices.[QUOTE="dovberg"]
I like 360...cheaper games and better online.
