come on, even nintendo fans admit. the GC went crap. it was last gen. the games were too expensive for the quality. and 360 and PS3 havnt even made that many sales yet.

besides, least the GC didnt send back like 1/3 of their systems becuase of *insert bad word here* manufacturing, and nintendo didnt resort to giving away their system with a TV to sell the gc either did they?

The Gamecube actually had a solid launch, it didn't die until a few months later, when third party developers saw their games weren't selling, feared an N64 situation, and pulled out of the race. The difference on the Xbox 360 has been record-breaking sales of third party games. Whereas Blizzard cancelled stuff like Starcraft Ghost for the GCN (citing quality issues but... c'mon), companies like Square Enix are looking at the 360 going "how can we get in on that action?".

the gamecube started at a lower price than the ps3 and 360 are even now after a year and 2 years respectively into their lifecycle.

also, i doubt the gamecube was at 17 mill like the 360 after two years. :|

In games easily 360. You also have to take into consideration the launch price and current price of these systems compared to the Gamecube or wii. Ps3 IS STILL $400.00 AND the 360 is still $350.00. The gamecube launched at $250.00 as did the Wii. Considering the price I think these systems have sold very well. These systems won't hit massmarket until the price hits $200.00.

First off the ds is a handheld, this is a comparison of home consoles. Second do you really think the wii is winning b/c of its motion sensor controller, how about the fact its a cheap kids toy. Most ppl's game collection is worth more than $250.

Well the 360 only needs 4 million to pass the gamecube so it will easily beat it by the end of this year. In fact will catch and pass the Xbox by the end of the year.

The hypocracy.

Lemmings and Cows bang on about sales ALL THE TIME! Quite often they do it more than sheep! They just don't do it when sheep are around because they know they can't argue. They go on about 360 vs PS3 sales and software sales vs PC as well.

Funny that Cows and Lemmings go on about games rather than sales now, yet last gen they criticised Nintendo for the GC's sales, even though many of its games were better overall. The only argument they had against it in terms of games was "oh noes, teh lack of GTA!!1!11!"

And TC, Im pretty sure the 360 is doing a lot better than GC sales. It will probably reach the N64's 30-35 million overall I think. Never know though, could be more, could be less. Im sure I could do a better job than the analysts
