360 owners, a question on RROD.

Has your 360 ever gotten RROD, and if so how many times? How many times will you turn in you 360 because of RROD before you give up on the system, this second question is for those people who havent gotten RROD also.

I just was intererested, because Iv heard stories of people who were on there 8th console because of RROD and I want to know how far you will go if it happens to you.

And I will turn the system over as many times as it happens, since it costs me nothing at all, and I play my 360 more than my Wii and PS3.

No and hopefully never will. However, it did break due to my brother's carelessness.

I've gotten an RROD from a power surge but that lasted what 10 seconds before it was up and running again :P

The failure rate has been around 10-30% (exact amount we don't know). However, hardware revisions seemed to have put it back to the typical 5%.

The problem is, if your 360 is the one that dies, you get it replaced with one that died in the past aswell so people that have their console die once get stuck in this awful circle of revived, soon to be dead, systems.

It's junk big deal, dre's taught me to love junk with good games.

I had one which I sent to MS to fix. I had another one on the refurbished box they sent me but I can still play on it after that not like my first rrod. So far, I haven't experienced it again for some time now.

I plan to buy an elite next year.

Once. Mine just got back from the repair center yesterday.

I've had to send it in one other time though, due to disc drive issues. The DVD drive ruined two of my games, one of which Microsoft replaced free of charge because they published it (Gears.)

Cows will just say yes and claim they sent it 4 times! But no, I have not gotten it...yet. Everytime I turn it on for the first time it makes some strange noise...like its scratching a disc, but either a, there is no disc in or b, the disc isnt scratched....its sort of like a moaning sound. Anyone have this before?

Zero for me, Im past the 1st year mark.

And I will keep getting replacements ect, as long as my 3 year warranty is up. I love my Xbox360.
