I had a PS2 and loved GTA and DMC for it, but then I got Xbox for Christmas, along with Halo, and the PS2 really didn't see that much play time after that. Fell in love with the Xbox really fast, PS2 just didn't do it for me anymore.
Yeah, I got a PS2, but beyond the fantastic JRPGs and a couple other games I got to play on it, it was an incredible bore next to my Xbox and Gamecube, which were both great when friends came over.
I got a 360, still can't get my hands on a Wii, and may eventually get a PS3 once the price goes down about $200 (and that only if the exclusives warrant such a buy).
I own a 360. But it's more of a tide me over till the PS3 comes out console. I doubt i will play it much after the PS3 EU launch next month, except for a few exclusives like Blue Dragon / Halo 3.
And yes i own a PS2, still playing it more then my 360 actually...

After buying PS2 I can say that cows overhyped PS2 and PS2 games. They are not better then Xbox, actually best Xbox games beat best PS2 games, but Xbox has less amount of games.
Had a Ps2, traded it for another xbox some and my friend could play Halo online together not split-screen. That was in 2004. Eventually i sold both xbox's bought a 360. Now when ever i want to play ps2 i borrow my friends across the street.
Yep... I sold it 3 days ago actually as I got my only games for it on the Wii (Gamecube). Bloody great console too... I bought around 100 games for it overall.
I've seen several mentions to people saying that third party games that only appeared on PS2 will continue to only show up on PS3 since it's the same fanbase. Clearly games like RE5 show that's not quite the case.
I thought it would be interesting to see how many 360 owners here purchased Playstation games at some point.
I might have purchased a PS2 cause I liked a lot of games available for it, but whats the point if you have a friend that has those games? So I bougth Xbox and we switched consoles at times.
But at the moment I'm glad about having purchased a Xbox360, though I still have doubts about getting a Wii. So far I'm not interested in PS3 though things might change when there are better games available for it.
Got a PS2 at launch, loved it. Got an Xbox at launch and my PS2 started to collect dust (Apart from when GTA:SA released). Now own a 360. Getting a Wii when I can find one.... still undecided on the PS3... £425... £425... £425....
I did not own a PS2, I had an original xbox. I later got both a 360 and a PS3 however and am very content with both. Later on I will get a Wii but not before I get a new HDTV. :)
yeah i still have my launch ps2. Also served me very well. All it needs is a lens cleaning and a internal dusting every month and runs like a champ. Love my 360 though. LOVE IT! it's my first xbox!
I've owned, 2 ps2's, xbox, and xbox360. I will get a ps3 when there are games I want for it. Right now it would just collect dust until later this year.
I have noticed that people with xboxes bought PS3(Me being one of them.) and people with PS2s bought Xbox 360. I think it's because the people who bought xbox only wanted the system because it was the best concel at that time and was superior to the PS2 and Gamecube. The people that bought PS2 only bought it for the games. Notice a pattern?
I've owned most of the major systems from previous generations. Can't justify the PS3 price tag, but maybe I'll buy it in a couple of years, provided it has some must-have exclusives.

I had a PS1 and PS2 there great machines. But I feel the xbox/xbox 360 have much more games that I like. I like shooters, racing, RPG's (north american), and online. So the 360 is the perfect console for me.
No, I didn't have a PS2, nor am I getting a PS3, although I don't have a fanboy vendetta against Sony and their products. I just don't like their software and games.
Of course I owned a PS2 last generation (still do, I'll be firing it up again for GOW2,) the amount of killer games on it was crazy. It got the most play out of all the consoles I owned last generation (and I owned all three, four if you count the DC.)
Right now my 360 is getting by far the most play out of the two new consoles I own (360, Wii.) Haven't bought a PS3 yet - it's nowhere near worth it. I'll pick one up when it has enough decent games to make the purchase worth it, whenever the Hell that is (probably near the end of 2K7.)
I had ps2, would still have it but my sister took it with her when she moved out. My bro finally bought another one a year later, but he moved out recently. So im here with my 360 and Wii and PC.
I have one, got it as soon as I could after the European launch. I love my PS2 and can't wait for FFXII to finally come out at the end of the week here. But I'm not too excited about PS3 just yet. I want to be excited for it, but right now its not happening. But I had the same feeling towards xbox when it came out and got one the second after I had played DOA3.
