360, Ps3, Wii..... Watch your backs

Apple might be joining the console race and if they do it right they might have the best console. I am sure they would do great on graphics because an ipod nano has better graphics than the wii. But I am not sure how they would do with hardware and design what do you think?wiiguy13

Apple entered the race before, they failed, miserably, with the Apple Pippin, it sold like 1 system or something...

Bandai manufactured some tens of thousand Pippins (reported sales were 42,000) before discontinuing the system; production was so limited that there were more keyboard and modem accessories produced than actual systems.

It was also named on the top 5 of pc-world's top 25 worst tech products of all time.

Oh, it's real, and it was a spectacular failure. They tried charging triple of what the other systems charged, and had no game line up.

I'm actually kinda excited to see Apple try to get in on the console race and I would love to see what they have to offer. I mean its been so long since we've had another Sega CD/32X, Jaguar, Virtual Boy, 3D0, NGage, and all those other beloved failures. I think its about time someone stood up and said "I want to have the most memorable tanking of this generation! I want people to look back and say "Wow! What a piece of crap that was!". Good for Apple if they do this, we need these little failures in life to realize how bad things could truly be.

Whatever they bring into the market I'm sure it'll go down in a bright and brillant blaze of flames, just look at how well gaming has done on Apple computers thus far. Well they could make it so you could run the 360 dashboard and on all their console, just like everyone uses the Windows emulator on Macs. It could work right?

Apple has little or no experience with the video game industry... so I doubt this console will even get off the ground.

Well, there is something to be said for controlling the quality of hardware by making it all 1st party.

well i think appal is not making a good choies because most people who got a ps3 or xbox dont feel the urge to buy another console because thay are happy with what they got.

secondly there is no aspect to shine out in (computer not included cause the price is in a leauge of its own)

online: xbox i dout it will beat microsoft in its own game

hardware: ps3 i dout it can beat sony in its own game

control: if thay wanted to use a ball insted of dpad that are lost

bran: apple never made anything in gameing that was good

I really doubt Apple will release a gaming console but if they do, it'll have to be extremely good, else it will not even be bought by a single person. I can't have the slightest idea on how they'll keep up with the standard Wii, PC, PS3 and X360 which all of them have a share in the gaming market.

They'll actually have to release it when the PS4 and X720 come out so as to get a bigger share of the gaming profits and more importantly, they'll have to come up with a revolutionary idea!
