Don't know if you guys have read the one entitled 360 running out of boxes. Makes you wonder if 360 did install Folding.

I read an article that said that the authors of the article were waiting to get a box for their dead Xbox 360 because they "ran out." It is taken as a bad omen that they have run out of "coffins."

Also, I read another article that said that the Xbox 360 using Folding@Home would be a death sentence because it requires 100% strain on the GPU and CPU.

Therefore, he's saying that the box shortage might indicate that they in fact are running Folding@Home without telling us to kill all of those Xbox 360s.

The box story is anecdotal (though probably true) and the Folding@Home article was almost speculative (though possibly true).

You mean actual cardboard boxes to case the 360's?  I find it VERY impossible that they're running out of those...

To sum up-a 360er had called customer service to request a packaging box to ship to the repair/replacement facility. The custoomer service rep had to decline the request of the box because they were "running out of boxes."

I know it's not from Moore himself but if it comes from internal customer service, how would you explain it? http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/06/anecdotal-microsoft-low-on-xbox-360-coffins
