Ok, I downloaded"The Lost Nightmares" DLC for Resident Evil 5last night.I've noticed one very weird fact. My original RE5 (non gold edition ofcourse)game disc spins the whole time I am playing the new DLC content. This isn't the case with my other games and their DLC. Why would the disc have to spin at all ifthe DLC ison the hard drive?I haven't installed the main RE5 game yet which I know will fix that.I really hope that the new DLC is really new. But if the disc has to spin it makes me think it was there all along. So is the "new" content just unlocked by buying the DLC. I have a bad feeling I was just had by Capcom.

Because it still uses the game engine and other resources on the disc, I'm assuming.

This. Seriously, did you think the DLC doesn't use the original game engine? You'll be downloading about 7GB worth of data if that was the case.

The DLC was originally to be implemented in the game but due to time restrictions, they planned to offer as a DLC later.
It's better anyway since it wouldn't have been this long, detailed and good if it was indeed inplemented in the original RE5.
And no, the DLC is not already on the disk.

If the disc isn't installed, it will spin. Doesn't matter if you're playing the dlc or not. Install the disc, and it won't spin and make that terribly loud noise while you're playing. ;)

You all are wrong. He downloaded 500mb of zeros in a text file and this is all some big DLC conspiracy by Capcom to charge for content on the disc. DLC shouldn't use anything on a disc and that just makes sense. They should build an entirely new game engine just for a 1 hour DLC.

I download the costume pack for mercenaries mode and it was only like 150 megs. That means that the assets in the all of the stages are the same assets. That so lazy and it's really a shame. They should have remade all of the assets and redesigned them into the same levels. It's disgusting what developers do and even sadder that some of you all champion it.

This really is a 360 RE5 DLC controversy. My friend has the PS3 version and it was like 3 gigs each. Sometimes MS makes me sick with their BS.

key words DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT for a game......i mean it doenst take a rocket scientist to work out that DLC is only something that adds to a game in the same vein of an addon pack.

Are you kidding? The DLC came out almost a year after the original game, its not going to already be on the disc. If anything you can point the finger at EA for releasing on the disc content less than a month after, but seriously?

I doubt the story DLC is on the disc. No way did they make the Spencer mansion one and have it all on the disc.
