I don't think anyone should really care. I mean games on current gen consoles aren't going to look vastly better in 2-4years from now. The quality you see now is pretty much what you'll be seeing throughout this gen. Look at the original Xbox, Halo and Dead or Alive 3 were launch games (or at least launch window games), and four years later we weren't seeing games on the Xbox that blew them away graphically, sure there were better looking games like Riddick, but it wasn't a major improvement over some of the Xbox's launch games. Halo: CE is still considered one of the better looking Xbox games.
I doubt you'll see games looking a lot better then Gears of War, Bioshock, or Alan Wake on the 360 throughout it's lifespan. Likewise, I doubt you'll be seeing games looking much better then Heavenly sword, UT III, or Killzone 2 on the PS3. Some people actually believe that consoles will reach Crysis level graphics in the next 2-3 years. It's unbelievable. A lot of people should start worrying about games, worrying about how they'll play, and what kind of storys they might offer, instead of what percentage of a console's resources are left.
