right now, 360 has the most and best games.

word on the street is that the ps3's 2008 is looking the best.

So, take the currently superior console at the lower price, or take the potentially better console for the year of 2008 at a higher price.

Get the 360 first. More games available to you now. People keep on say "PS3 2008 line up is good", but people could say that until it is proven. The 360 game line up are already proven. Get the system with games thats already proven to be great and it also have a larger library of games.

Dude, just get the system with the games you want to play. For example, shooters and WRPGs are what 360 offers best while PS3 has a lot of JRPGs and also a lot shooters, but unproven like Killzone 2. Personally, I like WRPGs better and I mostly play multiplats, so if I had to choose, I would choose a 360 because of Mass Effect and Fable 2, but look at the games men, not which one has better acessories.

FACT: Mark Rein has already said Unreal Tournament trumps Gears of War graphically with more onscreen, more explosions, more characters, bigger levels, more polygons, etc... It was designed to show off the Unreal engine.

FACT: Uncharted has been acclaimed as the best game graphically on consoles, and several sites including Eurogamer, Gamespy and Ripten have not only said it's the best game graphically, but that it's not even possible on X360.

FACT: More future proof HDMI 1.3 is more future proof than HDMI 1.0. Blu-ray is more future proof than DVD, Harddrive standard and upgradable on PS3 is more future proof. Wifi standard on all system is more future proof. Industry standard Bluetooth accessories is more future proof than Microsoft proprietary wireless. etc...

and you are saying he was biased. Read your bolded statement. Come on now. But to the OP. I have both systems. I think the 360 is a great machine. XBL is amazing and I find the controller to be superior for games I like to play (FPS). However, I actually have been playing my PS3 more lately. Heavenly Sword, Uncharted and Motorstorm have been great. It really depends on what you like. The ps3 appears to be a better built system based on consumer reports. The 360 definately has the better library of games right now. If you plan on watching blu-ray movies, then the PS3 is a good player. I would advise getting the system that will play the games you want to play. Look at BOTH the present and future games as this will be a big investment.

And I think the PS3 has more potential, but it had a pretty slow start.

For right now, I think it would be good to buy a 360, because there are a lot of good games that came out in 07 that will hold you over for a long time.

• Free Blue-ray player which has proven it's importance and will become the next lead platform
• Motion sensing controller
• Way reliable then 360 which has a 30% failure rate I may add.
• HDD standard
• PSP connectivity

Soon this year PS3 will also have

• PS Home, a virtual world where you can meet up with friends etc
• Ingame-XMB
• Trophies when complete particular game objectives, way better then achievements.
• PS cards, Allowing users to purchase online goods
• Rumble
