360 vs. PS3 (with poll)

All things taken into account, which system do you choose if you can only pick one?

I don't understand why anyone would get a PS3 when the 360 is superior to it in practically every single way (even graphically, which was a bit of a surprise).

I have both of them, and I prefer the PS3._AsasN_

I own both as well and im having a hard time finding 5 games worth owning on PS3, whereas im on my way to 30 on 360.

I prefer PS3 (just before you start crying these are all personal opinions and not facts in stone)

I really like the PS controller 360 feels wierd to me.

I like all Sony's Big games (MGS4, GT, etc..) vs 360 (Halo,Forza, etc...)

The graphics are good on PS3 its just EA who can't figure it out, Resistance, R&C, F1: CE all look good

The Blu-Ray

I love the 360 and think it is a great gaming machine, but I think the PS3 will have alot of great titles. For an all around package I would choose the PS3 because of DVD playback, Blu Ray, HDMI 1.3, Dolby 7.1.

On another note, I would much rather play a FPS on the 360 because of the controller, but aside from that I think they each will have their spot this gen once things get sorted out with the PS3. Also on a side note, my PS3 hasn't broken, and I did go through 3 or 4 360s I cant remember.

Right now, Xbox 360 by a large margin. Just look at the games compared to each other... 360 wins hands down.

If you want "VALUE", and you really really want everything, like the BR player then go with PS3. But asa gaming machine, Xbox360 > PS3 = Wii

Ok, we get the point that you like 360. But games are up to individual people, and yes reliability is an issue. I don't want to be scared of getting to the end of game xyzthen ... game over console dies.

I'll get flamed but I really don't care it's just my opinion..

I like the PS3 more heres why..

1.Free on-line, yes say what you will about XBL being better but you still have to pay for it. (and i'm cheap)

2.Yes I have the PS3 that has BC that means I can still play my collection of ps2 games..

3.Library of games, yes not as large as the 360's but I never expected to compete with the 360's after a year on the market...I like a diverse group of games and I like the way Ps3 appeals to that..

4.I had the original xbox late in the game but I never thought they would just abandon it on me. This lead me to be a bit leery of getting a 360..

5.The talk of all the hardware failers also added to point 4.

6.When I bought my PS3 I also picked up a HD TV and 360 didn't have HDMI support at that time..

7.Blu-Ray built in and Wifi..

You will note that nowhere did I ever say that the PS3 is better then a 360. It just had more things that I wanted then the 360..

I didn't refer to any GS reviews. If you must know, I think they're biased in favour of the 360 and I can't stand it.

If the 360's were not 33% defective than I would lean towards XBOX 360. I have both Ps2 and Xbox, and I have always favored Ps2, unless it's online gameing. The Ps3 has some good aspects, 1. free online, 2. built in Wifi, 3. HDMI output, 4. a built in Blue Ray player.

Whatever do you mean? Oh yea, i know. You're talking about the 7.5 aren't you. So because a game scores a 7.5 from one site when the average for it is 90 (obviously meaning that it's an AAA title) that means it's a horrible game and the PS3 is doomed? Hah, pathetic. Lemmings can stop their whole "no games to play arguments" because a bunch of good games are coming out right for the PS3, with Ratchet and Clank being a very successful first.

Heavenly sword 8.0 6 hour game. Only sold 220k http://vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=6978Was supposed to be a HUGE game for sony.

Orange box a GREAT game to bad PS3 users have to wait for it.

Madden 08 the 360's version has sold 1.26 million already but the PS3 has not even sold 1/2 mill yet. We all know Madden is supposed to be a huge seller but not so much on the PS3.

The Ps3 has the least million game sellers with only 2 games. PS3 is only console with no 3rd party million sellers. Even the Wii has 2.

2 discontinued skus in less then a year.

3 price drops in less then a year already.

Went from 95% PS2 BC to 0% PS2 BC in less then a year.

Many delayed games.

Sony is also loosing money on PS3. It is not just 360.

360 for games right now, not too fussed over bluray or hd dvd, still getting by fine with dvd format for movies, have for years. that being said, if i didnt yet own a dvd player,imightget a ps3. but as i like playing games, and we're talking about gaming systems,and ihave enough money that i dont need to 'invest in the future' like so many ps3 owners (honestly, if you dont have a lot of mula and are waiting around for mgs4,gt5, and ff, buy the system when those games come out ASTHE SYSTEMWILL LIKELY HAVE DROPPED IN PRICE), xbox360 is by far the better option. gears, bioshock, halo3, nothing on ps3 come close to these titles alone, in regards to console esclusivity. so for now i'll have fun with my 360, and once the goodness for ps3 starts coming out, THEN i'll get one.. (and if mgs4is announced for xbox, i prollywont) i reckon a lot of ppls are just buying ps3 now cause of their brand allegiance, which i think is pretty ignorant. i was mainly a ps2er last gen,but where the good gaming basks, i follow. right now,its on the 360. Granted,its beenthe epitomy of awesome xbox gaming these last few months and with ME coming up too, but I see a bright future: NG2, Alan Wake, Halo Wars, and I'm sure Microsoft has at least a few more tricks up their sleeve. Its not like Halo ME 1-2 punch is the xbox's climax, there will be more, new games will be announced..
