Yes, cows must be crying now that Xbox360 sales rose 32% over last WEEK in the UK in response to a price cut.

Umm didint the sales go up for when the PS3 price droped. Yea and PS3 has no games argument is dead now. The fact is a price drop always equals a spike in sales that or a big game.

now that u mention sales i remember cows at the beginning of this year claimming ps3 was gonna overtake 360 in sales by the end of the year what happened with that.loomlumloom

We'll we knew that wasn't going to happen this year. Not with Worldwide sales anyways. I don't see the PS3 passing in worldwide sales until end of 2009 or beginning of 2010. It basically depends on how the 360 sales this holiday and how it does during the Spring and Summer months next year. Once the PS3 gets down to $250 or less, they are going to sell like crazy because of the cheap Blu-Ray player. I don't see either system catching the Wii at this point. The Wii has sold more then twice the amount of PS3 in the same time period.

And also some of the decline in the ps3 sales for some places could be the switch over from the reg. 40gb to the new 80gb sku's. Also last night in my store we got in 2 more 80gb's and sold both by this morning with the 360's still sitting there from 2 days ago.

But I really don't think 32% after a price drop like that is quite what MS was hoping for, but a increase was espected none the less, we'll see if it continues that trend in the future though.

it might be selling better in other regions. My local gaming stores don't follow the same trend as the gaming news tells us strangely.
