There completely diffrent... A emo and some guy wearing sunglasses in the winter.
360 - Regular guy, college guy, lounges back on his futon playing some Gears of War on his HDTV, surround sound all kicking while his girlfriend brings him a frosty cold one.
Wii - Fourteen year old kid punches his dad in the face swinging the Wiimote too hard during a game of Wii Sports - they laugh about it in the hospital waiting room - que cheesey "dad & son share a moment music"
PS3 - Kaz lounges back in his high-back metal office chair while his mistress hits him with a cat-o-nine-tails, he cackles like a maniac and shouts "I'll get you next time Gadget!"

Who are you telling?
360: Angst, hormone driven teenagers who desire to unload 10 clips into BigBallinDaddy15 with their uber guns in R6:V Also kids who like driving games, rpgs (not alot right now, but I hear more are coming in to satisfy the Japanese gamers), hybrid shooters (Mass Effect and Bioshock), and maybe some simulator games for those who enjoy them, will find something in the 360. Also Xbox Live is an attractive feature.
PS3: A multitude of gamers have something to look for. Maybe not alot of games in each genre, but still everyone will find something to play one it. Also it's the audience with either deep wallets or a knack for saving up for consoles. PSN and upcoming PSHome seems to interests this target audience as well, because Sony knows that people like to socialize without having to leave their homes and put down their controllers.
Wii: The hardcore gamer. Ya know, the guys (and maybe gals) who've been gaming since maybe the NES and need something to satisfy their endless desire for Mario, Zelda, Metroid games. Also, Nintendo wants to appeal to the non gamers, such as my dad and grandma (See Wii Sports)
PS3 - Ages 12-36, mostly people with jobs who are able to support themselves. Videophiles and audiophiles. People who own HDTVs and hometheaters.
Wii - Ages 5-70, mostly kids, grannies thinking they can lose weight by playing Wii tennis, and other fadsters who think it's cool, people obsessed with Nintendo's first party game classics; Mario, Zelda, etc.
X360 - Ages 12-22, They like to go on Xbox Live and "Pawnz0r da n00bz0rs" loudmouth kids who like to hoot and hollar, brag about the most medicore accomplishments, and argue about who stole whose kill.

I'll replace hardcore with fan loyality as thats what kept nintendo alive.

Thanks for another great post KeyWii. Home theaters buffs don't want the PS3 - stand alone Blu-Ray players will blow it out of the water when the time comes. Videophiles and audiophiles don't like *anything* Sony makes - spend some time on AVS - Sony is trash, it's like people who think Bose makes good sound systems...
Great job missing the target demographic of the Xbox 360 too - it's mostly older games who own the 360, while there are a few younger kids on LIVE, the average 360 owner falls squarely in the 18 to 35 age group. In fact, an older group than the average PS2 owner... the 360 has become the system of choice for hardcore online gamers, usually represented by a college age or older group, typically male.
