I wouldn't be taking this as much good news anyway. 3D Realms is now a joke that hasn't released anything decent in the past decade.

They have a small development team and are very quality oriented. Like Valve and the dudes who are making Alan Wake. I wouldn't say that exactly. Valve has gotten much bigger now with them acquiring Turtle Rock for L4D and they have a TF2 development team as well, as well as hiring the Portal devs too. As for Remedy, well there's a reason why they're taking so long cause they're not only making a game as ambitious as AW, but they're also making the entire engine from scratch too.
3D Realms, to me, haven't done jack ever since the PS2/Xbox/GC gen had begun. This entire time it just seems that they've just been riding on the success of Duke Nukem, not giving any effort into future releases (and that damn well shows with how long DNF was in development. They're not quality oriented at all. Valve and Remedy have never taken this long to make their respective games.
Hmm this is very intersting news. What's even more intersting is the comment from George B. Hopefully they will improve their dialogue with us regarding this whole ordeal and we will probably hear from Take-Two soon enough again. I really hope 3DR can find a way to squeeze out DNF before they risk loosing all the work they've put into that game. For their sake and myself. I've been waiting for the game since it was first announced
They need to go ahead and let the Duke die. DN3D came out when I was in 6th or 7th grade... i'm 26 now and the sequel is no closer to coming out than it was way back then. Do modern gamers even remember Duke?
Doesn't really matter, if they kicked out their workers they aren't going to be putting out any new games ...which I suppose doesn't differ that much from their past situation. And Take2 is the bad guy now? Wow, didn't see that coming, dunno who to believe, pretty low of them if true.
3D Realms deserves to go under after being paid to make Duke Nukem Forever and never making due with their claim. No game should take more then a decade to develop.

i want duke nukem forever, but i can wait another 12 years i have already, what's funny people act like they've been waiting for since it was announced like me BS.
First time i remember seeing duke nukem 3d was in 1996 on my friends 100 mhz gateway pc, but he was huge into pc gaming reason i probley am today and stopped console gaming because i seen how much better pc is, but i remember him showing me DNF in pc gamer magazine he was subscribed to.
he was first person to show me quake 1 quake 2 also.
