3DS is the most overrated system of all time

How can people consider a system with only 1 AAA game and a rehash at that to be so good? Even the no games 360 had more games than 3DS.

The 3DS has 6 AAA games but tons of other great games. Super Mario 3D Land, A Link to the Past, Animal Crossing, Pokemon, etc. etc.

There are a lot of games for the 3DS that are AAA material.

I kind of agree, but not for the reasons of the TC. It's only overrated because many fanboys make the 3ds to be better than anything that has ever came out before it, and that is a lot of pressure that it simply can't live up to. It's just another good console with great games, nothing more, which is fine.

I thought I was going to blow through its exclusives in a week like I did with PS3.

It has some AAA games worth anybodys time bar Zelda. Mario Land 3D,Kid Icarus,Luigis Mansion and RE Revelations. Get over the fact it beat LOU to GOTY it's just their opinion in the end.

I don't know guy, it's looking pretty damn good to me. One of my friends is probably gonna be buying a 3DSXL and selling me his normal black 3DS for $50; pretty damn excited, but damn are there a ton of games I want to get for it! I am gonna end up spending a fortune unless I get gamefly or something! Fucking Mario and Luigi is a must play, new Zelda is a must play, new Pokemon is a must, Fire Emblem, etc etc

No there isn't. I own both a 3ds, a ds-lite and a vita and psp... guess what... 3ds is worst for game library out of all of them for my tastes.

Even Castlevania (which isn't metriodvania style... i didn't even buy... and I bought a ds lite just for those games... but without symphony of the night style...i care less).

I won;t even get into the 50+ PSP games I have digitially or the 50+ PS1 games I own digittally either..

My point is... I don';t like mario or pokemon.... the list of games that I thought good enough to own come down to these lists. And The vita is vastly better in games library with VARIETY! Thats the key right there, I feel there is so much mario on 3ds its rediculous and that may be fine for some of you, but don't make it out like the 3ds library is leagues better, with more games because it isn't.

Neither system compares to the scope of library that the DS and PSP have though.... I blame smart phones and tablests for that... and it's a shame.

What gets me is the idiots who think there can only be one handheld... why? There is room for two, especially when they are oh so different.

-The vita offers a hd screen with dual analogs and dual touch screens with a much much much better cpu, gpu and ram...

-The 3ds offers dual screens (albeit crappy resolution) and a cool 3d filter effect, as well as a stylus bottom touch screen and clamshell design.

Both are worth owning... Why wouldn't you own both? Really, why? You are missing out if you don't!!!

3DS had an excellent year.

I have one but it is very hard to make myself play it. I find that I can't no natter what games are on it.

Had to decide on a 3DS of a PS Vita for christmas, despite 3 of my housemates having 3DS, I chose the Vita. Not cause one is better than the other, granted 3DS is doing much better currently, however its just out of personal preference of the style of the device and the games. I makes sense when you aren't into mario or zelda or post-2nd gen pokemon. Which I understand they are good games, just never appealed to me as much as the sony exclusives have done. One cannot deny that 3DS hardware in inferior however they have the presence of more popular games, in number also.

and the vita has more catching up to do wiiu has sold 4.5 nearly closing in on vita and people call wiiu a failure , so if anything is a failure its the vita as wii u hasn't been on this market long enough to consider a failure and we don't even know how low the ps4 or x1 sales will dip until the early adapters get theirs
