Not enough information to give an informed opinion. But I would go for all three personally, but wait on the NGP to lower in price since it's likely to be very expensive.
Just a handheld vs. both a handheld and a console? I think this is an obvious choice... Besides the 3DS will in all likelihood be the better handheld device.
Because the 3DS will likely be cheaper, and if history can be trusted to repeat the 3DS will be the better handheld. Why pay more for the inferior product? Why can't you go for PS3/PSP2
Seems like a better combo

Won't half the PSP2 games be PS3 ports? You can probably get a 3DS + PS3 for the same price as PSP2... I would wait for the PSP2 price announcement... or will that take too long?

"if history repeats itself" is not a good reason. I think what I said was pretty reasonable though, so I'm agreeing with you for different reasons :PWhy can't you go for PS3/PSP2

Because you don't know the price of the PSP2, nor the launch line-up
what kind of info should I mention? Please tell me.Not enough information to give an informed opinion. But I would go for all three personally, but wait on the NGP to lower in price since it's likely to be very expensive.

I've been having a hard time deciding on which to get when they're out. PSP2 / NGP or Nintendo 3DS? I only know one thing. I really want a PS3 for general gaming. I HAVEN'T PLAYED any ps3 game since its release. Should I forget about the PSP2 / NGP and go for a PS3+3DS hybrid? 3DS looks much cooler. Please help. Thanks.iLostmyeye
PS3 and NGP will go together very well, it will just be a little bit more costly. Btw 3DS does not look cooler. Get PS3 now with the good games out, then pick up a NGP.

This answer is obviously not biased in any way.
If you can get two consoles then get a 3DS and PS3. The PS3 already has a ton of good games and the 3DS will have a great library by the time the NGP comes out (sometime in 2012).

NGP x GCN + Xbpx / PS2 - N64 - PS1 x SNES ^ DC - SMS / Xbox 360 / Saturn + GBA - GB/GBC x Sega Genesis
------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------
NES x Atari Amiga + PSP - Wonderswan
and if you have the option of the 3DS plus a PS3, then you'll already have access to 90% of the NGP's library, if its predecessor is any sign of indication.Just a handheld vs. both a handheld and a console? PS3 and 3DS.
So far NGP is going to have a bunch of cheaper more watered down versions of PS3 games. Why play a portable knock-off of Killzone, Uncharted, and Little Big Planet when you can get the real deal on the PS3? NGP is too much of an overlap with PS3 so far.
3DS is going have all of the great Nintendo first party games, much better 3rd party support than the DS had, and a lot of future surprises like Monster Hunter, etc. 3DS may not have better graphics than the NGP, but I think it will be a much better overall experience-- just like the DS was.

Thanks.iLostmyeyeWhatever you hear, listen to me closely! If u have PS3, theres prob no reason to have NGP!! Dead serious!! Like i love NGP honest to god, and i really wanted one, but unless ur rich NGP is just being marketed as a PS3 in ur pocket....but the question ur gonna ask urself is, am i gonna pay 60 bucks to Uncharted on NGP, or Uncharted 3? Assuming u of course said Uncharted 3, u get the picture....honestly nintendo has it flaws, it does, but there is something about nintendo that always pulls us in as gamers, they always just have this air about them that they are inviting you to just pick up their products and have good old fun, you know? Say what jokes u have about 3D, but there is something about us that lights up with joy when we pop in a pokemon game or play a round of mariokart....its what made the DS such a memorable system, and for the sake alone of having a nintendo console in ur pocket, get 3DS for urself? I dont think many people regretted buying DS, and i doubt it will be any different with 3DS if u dont have PS3, u owe it to urself to get that, no way no how will an NGP make up for it!
