3rd console curse is real.

Every 3rd generation of console, suffers or fails in some massive way.

On a serious note, ignoring what this (originally was) every 3rd generation of console has failed spectacularly in some way, and it always happens.

PS3 was overhyped and way overpriced,

N64..was bad

sega saturn..

And now xbox is suffering with less power, higher price ...history repeats it's self. i'm just saying.

Alright, before this descends any further, i made this thread because it's ironic, that if one company messes up, the next will mess up the following day, i just find that weird, so sony is bound to mess up since ms has.

Xbox has bad news, and for some reason, the next day sony will have bad news, it's back and fourth.

if your not joking, i am so inclined to beileve this, Sony PS3 had a absolutely horrible launch and year following... now xbox, on it's 3rd, is having a horrible year, but it has not been as bad as sony, but it's still not good either...

Well ok, but my point still stands, it was not as successful as past Nintendo consoles. and imo, it was dead awful.

So by that logic the Wii was incredible and Wii Sports is a GOAT.

What? sales=success, you can make all the great games you want, but at the end of the day, to the corporation, sales are what matters.

And i'm saying it was awful because i hated the experience i had with mine, but i'm sure your going to turn that into( your experience does not equal all) well it turned me off to the console period.

Atari lost most of it's market share to the NES and Master System with it's 7800 console.

Both Sega and Nintendo lost market share to the Playstation with the Saturn and N64.

Sony lost over half of its market share going from the PS2 to PS3.

If the Xbox One is a step down from the Xbox 360 in terms of success then the 3rd console curse would be accurate.

Absolutely, it was so bad it pretty much sank Sega. Dreamcast was actually a good system, people were just sick of Sega at that point.

It's not hard to go to Wikipedia and search before trying to make a thread that already has no credibility other than it being your opinion.

You forgot to mention that the N64 has the highest rated game of all time on it too. That the PS3 has sold more, had a lesser chance at hardware failure, and has more higher-rated exclusives than it's main competitor (the 360).

While we're at it. Ever try importing on the Sega Saturn? Probably not because if you ever did then you'd know that it's fucking awesome.
