40gig and Arcade are hated WHY?

40gig and arcade are hated by all fanboys on both sides

They and its all because they dont have BC

Their Core consoles made for the consoles basic purposes so why is it their hated so

they go online(yes the arcade can go online because the memory card holds the proflie, I did this when I had the core)

they work with all add-ons

they can download

and all the other features

EXCEPTE BC

so why is it taht both XBOX and PS3 users shun them so

I'm not giving up all of my old Xbox games.
I already sold my Xbox.
I am not going to buy another one.

Therefore I render it useless for me.
I'll stick with my premium, thanks.

As far as the Xbox Arcade goes, i dont get who is aimed at.

I dont hate them but I guess I will take a guess as to why people hate them.

I will guess that a legit reason to hate the 40 gig would just be frustration with all the differant systems sony is releasing.

I am not sure what you mean by arcade but if its just XBL arcade games I like that to.

I would state the games I like on xbl arcade (there are a lot of classics worth having) but I will wait till I am sure what you are talking about before I waste space.

Sure some hatred is there for both but I guarantee you the Arcade will sell more than the 40gigs guaranteed!

i am more accepting of the 40 gig ps3 than i am the arcade. the arcade is as big of a waste as the core. to be able to play on live and get all the benifits of live you need a harddrive. simple. i mean oblivion would not be as great a game without all the downloads.

say you are playing gears with your bros. then you want to play the new maps... you cant... because the core and arcade cantdownload the maps because no hard drive... it is a pos that should not be a sku. and considering the core makes up such a small portion of the 360's sales i am hoping consumers have the sense to make sure the aracde suffers the same fate.

the ps3 isa stripped down ps3. atleast you can download to the harddrive still even though you cant play ps2 games on it.

personally i would not buy either.

i bought he pro when it was released and the 60 gig ps3 when it was released. i dont buy the stripped down models that are missing fuctions that are needed to enjoy the product fully.

40GB is hated because fanboys search for anything to bash. There's no reason or justification to bash it either. It has all the features of PS3 and got the price down. There's still a $500 BC version (with more features) for those care.

The Core/Arcade on the otherhand does severely limit 360 by existing. You can see the business reasoning, but why should that matter to us? Standard HDD would've opened up data caching and game installs so more games would have great texture streaming visuals like Gears. Would've helped GTA4 massively to have standard HDD accross all systems.
