Well to be honest, it sold well because it was a game that catered to a certain market that hasn't really been tapped yet.
The urban/hiphop market.Â

What's your point? A lot of people buy Kidtendo Wii.Â
I've never even heard of that :?Well to be honest, it sold well because it was a game that catered to a certain market that hasn't really been tapped yet.

No it's because he was 50 Cent. I agree not enough people go to that market but most people don't know what that market it being that most of the people who buy his records are wannabe rap lovers who think they're gangsta or kewl. I.E: Nor urban or hip hop people. Def Jam is something more towards that in a way.
I think this idea by timbaland and this beatameter I think it's called or whatever for the PSP or PS3 or whatever
It sounds interested, basically you make your own beats. Anyone who has used garage or Soundtrack (I think it's called) for Mac knows what I'm talking about but there would be way more sounds and loops and better effects with this gameÂ

"BUH BUH TEH CONSOLEZ HAVE TEH POPULARITY!!!11!!"Â
I've heard people around coupling the Mark Ecko game with this piece of vile trash. People assume that since they both use a hip/hop trademark name in the title, they're the same quality.
Â
And Mark Ecko's Getting Up is a great gameÂ

not to mention the paystation 3Because the casual gangsta-wannabe crowd would rather play crap then masterpieces like Killer 7, Psychonauts, Okami, Tales of Symphonia, Viva Pinata, and all the other great games out there.

Wow don't even mention this game because everytime anybody brings it up it sells another 5 copies because of some poor hapless gamer that just happens to like G-unit is reading this post this game is living off your blood like a vampire don't ever mention this game again!!!!
That reminds me, I still need to pick up that game.I've heard people around coupling the Mark Ecko game with this piece of vile trash. People assume that since they both use a hip/hop trademark name in the title, they're the same quality.

Hip Hop/Rap is dead, it has been made into a mockery and lyrics are no longer needed to produce good quality urban music. Whenever I see a so called "gangster rapper" performing in front of a bunch of wannabe suburban kids at spring break on MTV I feel a sharp pain in my stomach.Â

i totally agree with tat. i was really surprised how enjoyable getting up was.a good change.
This game sold 1.44 Million copies what's wrong with people? lolkcpp2bThe main reason why the game sold well has to do with the fact that videogame scores on gaming websites dont affect a companies product nor the casual market of gamers. I can guarantee you 99% of the people who bought it have never heard of IGN,GameSpot, etc.

Hip Hop is not dead.
Rap is the commercial form of Hip Hop IMO. It's POP Hip Hop and it's basically Ja Rule, Fat Joe (now) etc...
Hip Hop will never die. Hip Hop is Public Enemy, Eric B & Rakim, EPMD, The Roots, Jeru the Damaja, Slick Rick, Gangstar, OutKast, Tribe Called Quest, KRS ONE ETC...Â
