Yeah, except there is a quite high probabillity that some douchebag will scrape off the gold when you send it for repairs :P

Agreed. Gold+consoles=stupid looking.

those look damn fugly.But i think gold looks tacky on most things especially consoles and guitars (i never bought a black Epi Explorer bass cause of the gold hardware)

Those gold/yellowish PS3s look awful, but that red one is beautiful IMO. I wouldn't mind replacing my current one with one of those.

That's excellent, however unless the inner working are all made out of gold, bar the heatsink, it will have the same problems.

Cool, but who want's one? It would probably have sold more had it been an old Nintendo, Sega or Atari...LOL.

Gold is the best heat reflector there is, so this could have fixed the RROD problem:P. Maybe not the most cost effective solution though.

But I wouldn't mind having something like this :

Yeah, that's exactly what a 360 needs, internal lights putting more load on the power supply and adding more thermal energy to the box's interior :P

I would much rather have a real carbon fibre PS3 and 360, i think it would look better too :D

Ownders of this console should recieve special DLC instructions to get gold armor/gear in ANY FPS game.

Looks tacky, I'll stick with my Limited Edition Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360, much nicer IMO.
