500GB PS3 Move bundle coming?

CVG has learned that Sony is set to reveal two new PS3 SKUs this week (also known as Mental E3 Week) which will come bundled with the Move motion controller.

Sony plans to release 500GB and 250GB versions of its slimline powerhouse bundled with the new motion controller later this year, according to our industry source in Los Angeles.

We were also told that the new PS3s will come with new faster internal Wi-Fi cards (802.11n, for those of you who know what that means). Current PS3s come with the slower 802.11 b/g standard Wi-Fi. Basically, that means new PS3's connection to PSN and the internet will be faster if you have an 802.11n-compatible router.

Note: The FCC tested two new PS3 models, CECH-2501A and CECH-2501B, a few days ago. Both differed only in hard drive sizes.

It looks like either Sony will stop selling PS3s without Move, or the 120gb PS3 model will be getting a price drop.

Seems likely that the 250gb+Move bundle will come in at $299 and the 500gb+Move bundle will come in at $349. I guess Sony is willing to sell at a loss if it means increasing the install base of Move.

cause f your like me and you like buyng stuff off the store it fills up quick.Im only on a 40gb and thinking bout a 1tb HDD purely for the benefits of not worryin bout space.

im sure some people really love 500 GB of space, but i have a 120 GB slim, and its only like a 1/3 full (or .33333333 repeating for all you math wizards). theres no way i could ever use 500GB of space

My PS3 has 500GB HDD with full BC. So yeah, it only does everything.

i want a price drop not a bigg hard drive. 250gbs is plenty of space . for a conosle 500gbs is over kill

cause i like having music on my PS3,sometimes buy the odd film off the store,RB content (for me) is getting pretty hefty in size mines takes up round 8gb on my HDD along with all the installs,patches and all that jazz like games from the store etc.

I could fill that easily but thats just me xD.

The thing, can Sony afford another price cut? I mean even MS didn't do a price cut with the new 360. 250GB is probably the new standard but I still think that both the 250GB & 500GB PS3 will be bundled with Move.

I'd love to see the PS3 Slim 120GB down to 249.99$ so I can buy another one for my living room.

If more companies are making 500GB sata hard drives, the cost will come down. In that way it the production costs go down and the value to the consumer goes up. Win? yes.
