52 percent of PSP gamers are females

It a given a large number of Wii players are female gamers. I would have though the DS would have a bigger percent of felmale gamers when compaired to the PSP. I guess there was a good reason why Sony came out with the Hanna Montann PSP.

Is that so? I have never seen a female who owned a PSP, but I have seen quite a few women playing on the NDS. But then again, I am not exactly a hot topic amongst the ladies, so what do I know? :P

In the 2 years that I've had my psp, I haven't met ONE other person who owns one. And it really irks me. Ive been dying to try monster hunter multiplayer.

The only female PSP gamer I ever knew was this girl from work who imported a pink one from Japan I thought that was awesome....

Funny, ive seen or know a few girls with PSP's. They use it for mostly media stuff though.

You folks who claim to not have seen any girls with a PSP really ought to get out of the house more. When I'm commuting on the bus I see girls playing with handhelds all the time, more so than guys actually.

I live in NYC and take the subway every morning/night for an hour and i've seen only 2 girls with PSP's, where as guys i've seen atleast 15 or so. Girls here either have a sidekick or blackberry out instead. So this statistic (if true) is surprising to say the least.

The data is most likely inaccurate. But handhelds are more popular for the ladies than consoles, and I see them with Iphones/Itouch, DS, or PSP pretty much all the time.
