61 games confirmed for Nintendo Switch

Pretty cool video from IGN confirming 61 games for the Nintendo Switch. They even put together nice gameplay for majority of them which was pretty sweet. I think Nintendo stated 100+ in development so far with much more to come, so looking good as far as we know. But check out the video below,

But will one of them be the new Metroid Prime game? A new F-Zero maybe? Or how about,,,,,a new Golden Sun?

And aside from Maria Odyssey and WiiU ports of Zelda and MK8 they are all shovelware.

I know a lot of gamers didn't like Other M but for me, I for one really like the game despite the issues, I just hope Nintendo can forget about the bad mouth from Other M and just make a new Metroid Prime.

So Xbone has no games, and Switch has no power. Duct tape them together and maybe they have a chance against PS4.

I would love a new punch out game on the switch, we just don't get enough of those games.

Man I would love Vanillaware games on this thing.

Imagine Fzero online with 30+ racers. That would make Unreal Tournament look like an old lady changing television channels.

Not a chance. The game is remarkabley different. And, with Mario Kart 8 landing on the Switch it seems very likely a different racer will land before MK9 don't you think?

Also, people are complaining about Zelda dlc. Nintendo clearly put a lot of effort into the engine. And, if you think about it, Majora's Mask could be looked at as dlc to Ocarina of Time, seeing as it retains the same game engine. That's what I gathered from the Zelda dlc tidbit.

Golden Eye Remaster would make me lose my mind

Not since 4 mario kart games have come out since the last F-Zero... They play really different, but there was something I think I read a while ago that Miyamoto said he couldnt think of any ideas for a new F-Zero and they were using the hover mechanics in 8

I'm actually surprised that I'm looking forward to buying 20 of them.

There are some great games that I didn't catch the first time around, some great exclusives and some games that are multiplat but I'll buy on Switch to show 3rd parties that gamers don't just buy Nintendo games on Nintendo systems.

It won't work and 3rd parties will fall off again but might as well try.

Hmm not bad. All I'll mostly likely get my Indies multiplats (and ports) on the Switch.

There's a decent amount of games on that list, some of which I would consider getting for the Switch (including some multiplat stuff).

But do keep in mind that both video's are missing some games. I don't think all 61 games from the IGN one are in this one for instance. Like I think it's missing Snake Pass. One of the games that I'm interested in.

Also would like to say before someone goes 'Wii' that every game in these vids look to be more of a game than the average Wii game. Except for 1 2 Switch and Just Dance, maybe.

It's also interesting to note that the Snake Pass dudes got their game running on the Switch in one week time. That is pretty unheard of when it comes to porting between consoles let alone porting to a Nintendo console. Of course that is a rudimentary version that still needs to be optimized and tested but they show the Switch version off on youtube and it looks smooth. So that is extremely promising for future ports especially in the indie scene.

Sorry, but in the history of video games only MS has even cancelled a game.
