Something is WRONG with the XBox 360 units. People are getting screwed day in and day out by having to send their console for repair again and again.

I just have to sit back and watch how many people bite on this.  If you believe this after reading the whole story you are probably convinced the girl on youtube and break really did defecate in the hot tub.

Funny because I know 5 people with Xbox 360's, none of which have had any problems. I've had mine since December 21st, 2005 without a single issue. Where are all these broken Xbox 360's going? Clearly they're going to persistent consumers.

I heard about this problem,people are calling it the "3 rings of death" because of the three red rings that show up when the problem happens.Thats why i'm getting a PS3.I'm not putting down Xbox,I love Xbox but it just has too many problems.:(

Ugh, I really wish Microsoft would hurry up and fix this issue. It sucks having to pay extra just for a warranty.

I never had any problems with my 360 myself, but I think MS should really just replace broken 360s with new ones instead of just refurbished ones which have such a high chance of breaking down again.

The 360's definitely seem to have a higher then normal rate of failure. I'm sure the vast majority of people don't have any problems but I bet the percentage of 360's that mess up within a year is considerably more then normal. I mean, the fact that Microsoft recently extended the length of the warranty is almost proof of that. That's what car makers who have their quality questioned do in order to improve consumer confidence.
