Just noticed that if they buy take-two they will have control of the take-two MLB2k series...so they have a monopoly over baseball gamespoopinloop32only place that would care is north america. north america is 360 territory and thats not about to change.
Sony can't afford take-Two.....If Ms hasn't bought Take 2, Sony can't.Tulak_Hordyou dont know what you are talkin about, MS doesnt have as much money as you think only bill gates has it all and the executives. and they arent gonna spend their pocket money for studio acquisitions. and TC needs to stop making threads already seriously dude ugh.

Actually they do, a few years ago they stock piled 60B and din't know what to do with it so they gave half to their shareholders. Since it has gone up again and I believe is somewhere around 40B.
I bet MS would buy Epic if they could. They would make the money back ten-fold once people started subscribing to Live for Windows.apollolukeI don't see the point in windows live. Why would pc gamers pay $50 to play 360 players when they can play each other for free?

Oh yes, they do. When last I checked they are the second richest company in the world. Behind Exxon. MS has the money to buy Take-Two. And trust me, MS Game Studios can dip into the Windows cookie jar for money to do it. How do you think they bought rare? Windows has been sponsoring the Xbox and 360 projects for a while now.
1) Buy Take-TwoxxThyLordxx
This would be massive but I doubt it will happen.Â
2) Keep Exclusives, Keep Square Enix on its side
It isn't up to Sony if 3rd parties want to leave. Not unless SOny dishes out cash to keep them. Even still, most devs would probably only take the money and then have their games 6 month exclusives. I think, for the most part, the days of exclusive games are over...it's just too hard when everything is so expensive and consoles are no longer setting the world on fire. Except the Wii, but that's another issue altogether.
3) Give free Laptops to all the News Media and Ps3s. Just like Microsoft Did.
COuld you picture the forums is Sony tried to bribe journalists. Keep in mind there is a serious double standard for behaviour on forums with people being 10x more critical of what SOny does than MS. MS can do this and people don't think twice. If SOny did it would be the scandal of the century and every positive remark would be attributed to the bribe.
4) Drop the Price.
Sony is already losing a fortune at the current high price. They will probably never make a dime off the PS3 unless blue ray explodes in popularity. They can't realistically drop the price.
5) They need to create new IPs
Meh.
6) They need more advertisement
I haven't seen much ads for any console personally. Although I did see a Motorstorm ad the other night. I don't think Sony has much to advertise right now that would get people to pay the money.
7) They also need too announce news frequently. Instead of being quite all the time. This is something MS does very well.
Again. Everytime Sony opens their mouths people criticise but every time MS does it people act like its raining gold coins from heaven. Sony would just be called liars, hypers, or it would be called damage control. Yet you don't see many, if ANY, threads about how MS lied about the 3% failure rate for 360s. You don't see any threads about how MS lied about the 360 being the fastest selling console of all time...despite the fact it is only selling as good as the Xbox and the Wii, PS2, PS1 all sold better. They also keep hyping up the attach rate as if it means something and yet, despite supposedly selling so many more games than the competition they can't make any profit...ever.

Microsoft is not the second biggest company. It's the 48th biggest.

Secondly, Bill Gates doesn't have all the money. Gates's net worth is because of stock in microsoft. There is no single owner of microsoft. Anyone can be an owner. Gates just happens to own the highest percent of stock of anyone. So you're wrong, microsoft does have that much money, it's not Bill's money. Please learn something about corporations before you make yourself sound ignorant.

He is worth $56 billion. He doesn't have that in his bank account. He's donating his entire wealth to charity as well. This doesn't mean he writes them a check. He delivers shares of MS to the charity which the charity can sell tax free.

so yeah, MS probably has more money than you think

you try investing billions and make a profit in just under 2 years. MS as a whole would but not the xbox section. MS is most likely cross subsidising the xbox sectorwhat everyone seems to be forgetting is that Sony,M$,Nintendo make the most money out of software. If people are buying Games, and blu ray becomes the high definition standard there is no way sony can lose. and as far as ive heard/seen Blu ray is leading by a margin of 3-1. if blu ray wins. Sony wins.Uzburacuz9
Didn't you contradict yourself? You said that software (ie - games) sales determine profits, yet you use movie sales (ie - Blu Ray sales) to prove your point. Movie sales don't equal games sales. Not even close. Movies are $20-$25 and the bulk of the money goes to the movie studios (not the maker of the disc player). Games are $60 and the bulk of the money goes to the console makers and publishers. You fail badly.

no you foolish troll. Blu ray is THE format for the PS3 right? you sir, have proved your ignoranceDon't be an blind fanboy. Just because the PS3 has Blu-Ray in it, doesn't mean what you think it means. You know they also make stand-alone Blu-Ray players, don't you? If Blu-Ray movies are outselling HD-DVD movies 3-to-1, what the heck does this have to do with the PS3?Â
The PS3 sold only 127,000 units in February (only 3 months after launch). You can't deny that. The sales of Blu-Ray movies being 3-to-1 over HD-DVD obviously hasn't caused the PS3 sales to leap above the Wii, let alone the Xbox 360 (or the GBA, but we'll leave that out of this for now).Â
Yes, if Blu-Ray becomes the defacto HD "standard", then the PS3 will benefit from this. But you fail to realize that IF Blu-Ray becomes the true HD standard, then Microsoft will simply release a Blu-Ray HD player to connect to your 360. Heck, there may never be a true HD standard the way things are going. Being that, there are even HD players coming out that support BOTH formats.Â
Like I said before, don't be a blind fanboy and just assume that because Blu-Ray is outselling 3-to-1 when it comes to MOVIES that this equals success for the PS3. Just don't.
