7th Gen Moments

Now that Next-gen is this gen, What were your proud/shocking/disappointing moments of last gen on any system?

For example:

1. Going an entire match without dying on COD4 and getting 40+kills

2. Finally playing FF7 on my PSP and loving it to the point it is now my 2nd favourite behind FF10

3. Playing MGS4 for the 1st time, i was in awe of the graphics and the prologue.

4. Red Dead Redemption's ending. I was actually caught off-guard and was genuinely disappointed at what transpired. One of the best endings ever IMO.

5. The $599 PS3 starting price forced me to seriously consider getting an X360 but Uncharted came out and the rest is history:-)

I have plenty more but those moments stick out for me.

1. Stopped liking Nintendo Consoles

2. Got bored of Mario and potentially liked Zelda a bit less

3. Bought MGS4 4 years ago and still haven't played it.

4. Realized I like interactive Novel games and didn't notice before

5. Disappointed in the way story telling has gone down in exchange for gameplay but the result is not good enough. Just a disturbance in the harmony.( Good gameplay can't always make up a horrible story because gameplay will always fall down being repetitive down the line and motivation to finish the game falls off with a bad story )

hmmm, hopefully Red Dead gets better because the start is kind of slow and the voice acting is painful

Stepping on a rock, that was really a freaking golem on Dragon´s Dogma, and pretty much killing anything there. it was pretty epic. - Tyrande

Cutting off your own finger to save your son in Heavy Rain.

Dueling a witch on a goddamn falling clock tower at the very beginning of Bayonetta.

Pulverizing Zeus's stupid smug face into jam at the end of God of War III. **** you Zeus

Storming Space Normandy with robots and jetpacks in Vanquish

Shooting the Moon in Portal 2. - awesomesauce

Speaking with Minerva at the end of Assassin's Creed 2

Warily returning to the Necromorph-infested halls of the USG Ishimura in Dead Space 2.

Uncharted 2: Jumping through the window glass to the other building during heli attack.

Being pursued down the alley by that truck that's trying to hit Drake in Uncharted 2.

THE ENTIRE MGS4 GAME...Just endless memorable moments that lemmings will never get to enjoy : p

Hopefully people will use spoiler tags for anything important in games

-Finishing Mile High Club on Veteran.

-Getting the achievement for finishing through the fire and flames on expert in GH.

-Getting Seriously/Seriously 2.0/Seriously 3.0 in all the Gears games.

-Dropping about five or so nukes back to back in MW2 during its heyday.

-Feeling lonely as shit while playing my PS3, I could never assimilate into the community sadly. NOBODY EVER TALKED.

-Playing Killzone 2 at a competitive level and loving the game, only to be disappointed by future titles such as three and Shadowfall.

I'll add being physically exausted after playing MGS4. So much shit happened in that game that I could not focus on any games for the week after. No bullshit.

Hundreds of hours playing Bethesda, Rockstar and Bioware games.
