Out of the blue, dropped with no explanation.
Not that I am complaining.

Awesomness !!!! :D
But still, they need to go 3rd party. Would love to see what this would look like on Scorpio. :P
Very much want. The graphics are technically blah but the art style really makes up for it. Also, as always, the music is stellar. Can't wait to play this on NX.
Wow the atmosphere is quite nice while raining with the lightning in the background and the mist and such. Very nice.
I don't understand how folks are saying the graphics look bad. The game looks stunning.
I guess it could look more "cinematic" but then Nintendo would have to strip away all the gameplay, turn 40% of the game into cutscenes, change all enemy encounters into QTE sequences and go from an open world to a linear corridor type game. Lems and Cows love those kind of games.

ahh yes, people are saying the game looks dated so they all must instead want a QTE-filled cinematic shitfest. brilliant analysis
Looks incredible. Will be GOTG tier for sure
edit: Wow I'm getting such a Princess Mononoke vibe with the music and all. So good
the world looks so deserted
they still has shown no towns or npcs and very little of any dungeons
i'm a bit skeptical now
Yeap, and it has had this "lifeless" look like ever since they first showed gameplay at E3.
Yeah this is my greatest fear for the game ever since they announced how large the play area would be.
I can't help but feel it's going to be a whole lot of nothing, the "fun," you get out of the game is based on your own ability to entertain yourself with the tools given to you, not so much with actual worthwhile content.

Agree with this. Link has an impressive amount of things he can do, but he's doing it in a world that's too sparse. Too little visually interesting going on. Feels flat.
Not impressed with the art or graphics at all and the world looks like it is going to be dull and empty.
Honesty time.
I love the soundtrack. It sounds like a video game which is as it should be.
Some of the weather lighting was pretty good but the graphics were seriously underwhelming, the world looked pretty deserted and quiet (Not as in actually quiet, as in, empty and lifeless) and I can't see how its going to be particularly great. From a vast open world there is a completely fine balance. Just Cause, the original, gigantic, but absolutely pointless. Skyrim, every single nook and cranny felt like it meant something. Exploration had a real reason and the world between felt real. It's difficult to pull off, and I'm not confident on this one right now from what I've seen. I think Nintendo is a good enough developer to understand this, I will hold off on bashing it, but this isn't something to get carried away with just yet.
You chop a tree, and it chops straight and clean, and then disappears. You kill a boar, and there is a poof of smoke and it disappears. Seriously? Those explosions look like something from Dragon Quest on PS2 or something. Its an open world game so it has my attention, but if this didn't carry the zelda name it wouldn't be on so many radars right now.

lol right? SW logic.
Still I do think it looks visually appealing, even if it is obviously dated from a technical standpoint. I'd rather look at that art style for hours on end than a lot of the more technically robust open world titles.
It looks good but man it could look a lot better if the graphics was up to date and on par as the other two consoles. Sadly Nintendo Switch is still not on par with current consoles. Theres PS360 games that has more on screen and look better than this for example Kameo and Uncharted games.
Graphics aside this looks interesting to play. But in the back of the mind, it could look a helluva lot better with better specs. One day Nintendo one day.
Looks pretty cool. May just buy a wiiu for this game. Quick question though, is it me or does it have a grainy or hazy look to it? It's kind of distracting , hopefully nintendo can clean that up.
Game looks amazing. It's understandable that someone could want a technically more impressive game. However, if there's one developer that I have faith in crafting an excellent gameplay experience it's Nintendo.
Switch Edition Day 1
Not really impressed, always keep seeing those gameplay. Killing enemies on gigantic open world, look so lifeless to me. I will wait until they show something good like clever puzzles, memorable levels, and many more. What I can see, it's MGSV: Zelda with some shallow gameplay.
Honestly, it looks like another mundane, empty and totally devoid of excitement open world game, it looks generic...
Shame..
Smh I've seen enough of the world, looks great. Now show me instead towns, characters, more dungeons, etc....
Honestly while some elements looks interesting the overall impression of this game is meh for me.
Ignoring the graphics, the animation looks bad and the world it self feels empty, deserted (maybe it's supped be like Windwaker?).
Feels like this is getting hype/free pass simply because it has Zelda in it's name.

Not at all.
The hype this game is getting is mostly because of how the open world stuff is implemented. In particular, how it rewards exploration and creativity. While most freeroam open world games do make you go out and explore, far too few actually have open solutions. Breath of the Wild has no one solution for any problem, but allows you to tackle issues in multiple ways.
MGS5 is probably the only other game I can think of.
People are saying the graphics look bad.
If only Nintendo didn't showed off that Link tech demo..compare that to BotW...BotW doesn't look as good. :P

Its funny that they can't make BotW look as good as that Link demo they showed years ago.
This game reminds me of an indie open world game made by a no name dev. Bad visuals and empty world with nothing to do.

Yea...maybe they could but the world would be a much smaller size.."sandbox"?...or they found that they couldn't put that kind of visual into a proper Zelda game with Wii U hardware.
