A certain game by Rockstar has problems running on Xbox 360

Take what you will out of this. Rockstar "Horrified" By Xbox 360... Wouldn't it suck, to be playing your favorite game and then have the console die on you? When will negative press about the 360 end? Because of the hardware issues the following seems clearer and clearer to me:

1. Microsoft will care about making profits than winning the console war. It most likely underestimated the reliability of its own console. As such, the 1 billion plus it set aside for RROD wasn't enough.

2. Microsoft will not win the console war. It will be the PS3 or the Wii.

3. Microsoft will not release the Blu-ray add on for the 360. I think I will most likely be right on this one. If microsoft releases the add-on, it risks increasing the anger towards RROD--its customers with RROD are now angry for not being to play games AND watch movies. It will impact Microsofts reputation when it releases the next Xbox. There are other reasons against Microsoft releasing the blu-ray add-on like: slowing the adoption of VOD, incrasing the value of the PS3, slow adoption of add-ons in general.

4. Starting november of 2008, when the 3 yr warranty starts to expire, a new round of negativity towards the 360 will occur. Microsoft will lose more money as a result, either from extending the warranty again (unlikely) or consumers having less interest in buying the 360 because of bad reputation.

I'm glad this happened. Its a good lesson for all you PlayStation haters. The 360 is capable of getting bad ports, too. And this is a port of a PS2 game. Very weird, but yeah, I hope that this makes people realize that just because a port doesn't work out doesn't mean it's the fault of the system.

Rockstar is working on a patch as I type this. The 360 may not win the console war, but neither with the PS3. The war will be over by the time the PS3 has any chance of catching the Wii. War over meaning Nintendo will have released a new game console before the PS3 catches them. M$ is not going to release a Blu-Ray add on. If anything, their next console might have Blu-Ray or even a better media format in it. The RROD issue will be over before the end of the year when the Jasper GPU is released.

Yeah, but Cows will continue to spin this as a XBox 360 hardware issue, when it wasn't a hardware problem at all. The Bully SE game is the REAL problem. Rockstar's dev team screwed this one up. The cows should be bashing the Bully SE game and the developers, not the 360.

It is about hardware; the game runs differently between differnet models. There are more well-known analysts (Pachter and Isupply) who said that the PS3 will beat out the Wii. War isn't over till all 3 consoles are discontinued. There might be two wars at the same time, this gen's and next gen's going on at the same time.

RROD issues will not be over because older 360s continue to break and negative press will continue to happen. Even then, Microsoft hasn't proven that it can make a reliable 360 yet. By the it does, it might be too late.

Can't you friggin read? I said Blu-ray helped--not the main reason. Like dressing nicely helps. Being nice helps. Having chemistry helps. Etc.

works fine? have u played mass effect?? its my favorite game this gen but the slow down is there and thats not fine. ive had numerious drops down into the single digit frames

If you think bully runs like crap because of the 360 hardware you also has to think the PS3 has crap hardware with horrible ports like Lost Planet, The Orange box and Madden NFL 08.

I own the damn game, and the only time the framerate dips is a few seconds after the level loads. After that, it's as smooth as butter.
