but in the end it was just not meant to be, be it the difficulty or you just found it a very boring game that you could not enjoy. so you essentially just gave it up and sold it,or perhaps still have it in your collection gathering up dust. here are some of mine

fallout 3- played like 25 hours but in the end it didn't grip me and just felt like i was trudging through the game with no enjoyment. still collecting dust.

Dead Space - again i found no enjoyment halfway through i was wondering why i continued to play. now gathering dust.

Resident Evil 5- i must have restarted this game about 5 times but with no hope in sight, i just gave it up. i may try it again someday but that will take awhile.

Resident Evil Remake- The hard puzzles, annoying inventory system i gave this one up along time ago but i'm considering giving it another try.

i may list more if i can remember them

Xenogears. Boring, convoluted mess of a story. Yawn-inducing Gear combat. Terribly paced.

Secret of Mana. Fun multiplayer ruined by the need to grind.

Xenosaga. I paid to play my game, not watch it. I'll buy anime for that.

Bioshock. Why stock up on weapons? I can flail my pipe around endlessly until things die. I sure don't.

Lost Odyssey, tried very hard. I got to the third disk, but at some point I realized I didn't really get why I should care for the characters or the story. I was mostly playing for the dream sequences, and there didn't seem to be much in Disk 3.

Fallout New Vegas was the latest. And what's strange is Fallout 3 is one of my top five favorites this generation.

Two others: Bioshock and GTA IV. Both just got incredibly boring. They started off with bangs though.

Red Dead redemption. I heard so much about it, I tried really hard to love it as well, but I don't love it. It's still a good game just not the masterpeice everyone makes it out to be.

fallout 3: I really thought that I would love that game and be into it. I call it quits after 3 hours

Mass effect 1 and 2: same thing as fallout 3

resonance of fate: I tried super hard to get into that game but I just couldn't. wasted 35$ on that game

the witcher: I simply couldn't get into it, after 2 hours I stopped. at least i only paid 4,99$ for it

I could name other boring games like gta 4, rdr, dragon quest 8 or FF 13 but unfortunately I did waste my time finishing them

MGS4. I just don't get what all the hype is about. Story didn't impress me, AI sucked.

RDR, and LA Noire - Finished both, really wish I hadn't wasted my time with RDR. The ending was so obvious it hurt.

There are others, but those are the most recent that I can think of.

Assassin's Creed. It was just soooorepetitive. You saw everything before the first 3 hours were up. Out of 20.

Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 2. Both games are amazing and full of content, but I don't know if its an even letter curse or what, both of those games are glitched as hell. Broken quests and freezing are commonplace and I can't even count how many times both games crashed, and while I eventually beat thwm I really don't see myself going back unless its for the NV DLC. Sorry guys, I'll stick to the much more polished Fallout 3 thank you.

Bioshock 2. Not nearly as good as the first, and the "emotional" moments just felt cheesy and forced to me.

Super Mario Galaxy 1, 2. I got through both of them and enjoyed them while playing them (1 more than 2) but I tried replaying Galaxy and couldn't do it. I waited years after trying again and I couldn't do it, it's too easy, predictable, linear, and nothing to explore or do. They're good games but not for me, way too boring.

Good thing about following my own hype is I rarely get disappointed with the games I get... having said that:

RPG-Story= I'm disappoint.

Still plat'd it, but it was out of mere ego.

Uncharted series - I wanted to convince myself that it wasn't bad, and that I hadn't wasted my money, and that the persistent handholding via scripting wasn't annoying and that the enounters weren't poorly designed and that the final boss fight was a joke and that the plot and characters weren't generic and that the platforming wasn't far too restrictive and that the twist wasn't horrible, and that the final boss fight wasn't worse than Mass Effect 2's, but... well... I just couldn't lie to myself that much.

Fallout 3 - Gunplay so bad they had to invent VATS so you could actually shoot things, a plot that was essentially written by a three year old with daddy issues, awful voice acting, characters that looked like they'd been repeatedly hit in the face with a shovel, a boring wasteland with f*** all to do in it, and to top it all off, it was buggier than a man being eaten by maggots.

Mass Effect 2 - No plot whatsoever, bland characters (Miranda, Jacob, Jack unless you "romance her," hell pretty much everyone), shooting that wanted so bad to be as good as the original Gears of War but wasn't, a lack of any meaningful choices or character upgrades (Angel or total dick, you decide! So meangingful!), side missions so awful that BioWare must have pulled them out of Satan's bunghole, the most awful voice acting I've ever heard delivered in a way that it sounded like the actor was stoned all the time (FemShep), planet scanning (so boring I literally fell asleep doing it), and they ended with a fight with a Space Terminator. I mean, Jesus, were they even trying when they made this game?

Agreed on all 3, especially about UC's boss fights. They are probably the worst I've seen this gen. I still haven't finished fallout 3 because it puts me to sleep.

Sadly, Baldur's Gate 2. That escape from the dungeon at the begining is unbearable hard, I've never done it. I just can't force myself to play through that crap. I've heard its the best RPG of all time if you can actually get out of that dungeon but its just too hard. Why would a game start out so hard before the player even has a chance to get used to the interface? Horrible...

The World Ends With You. At the time I felt there was too much being thrown at me in the beginning involving game mechanics. Tried 3 playthroughs but I just can't get past a certain point early in the game due to just not caring and I tire of this lone wolf woe is me main character.

Kingdome Hearts Birth By Sleep. Mostly to it being on a handheld. By the time I got it I no longer cared about the series due to the direction Sqaure is taking with it.

3D Dot Heroes. Mostly out of rage caused by sucking at it. Got to a fire temple but ran out of potion a few rooms away from the boss, thus I get no teleport, with magical enemies and some type of golem enemies that sap a good chunk of life. The thought of having to climb down the mountain to heal and climb back up to my current location made me too angry to continue.

Xenogears. Felt too slow paced to me with needless talking. I admit I spoiled myself on the story before I played it and expected it to unfold in a timely manner. I may be wrong but I read that most of the first disc was recruiting party members. I just stopped playing after reading that and consulting a friend who was further into the game about it. I rather youtube it.

Too Human - I would of actually enjoyed it if it wasn't for the stupid dual stick attack system, stupid story, that overly long death cutscene of the Valkyrie, and just the level design of the game was ridiculous.

GTA4 - I played it for about 5 or 6 hours and eventually just gave up trying to even like it.

If there was one game from this whole gen I did not expect to come up, it was this. :P

I like the game, but the Ivy boss battle pissed me off to no end. Took me like 8 tries on hard, mostly because I couldn't control the camera. I would try to attack someone, then it would attack someone in the vines and a third of my health would be gone...

the most awful voice acting I've ever heard delivered in a way that it sounded like the actor was stoned all the time (FemShep)

DarkLink77

There were a couple of lines where I was like "they actually put that in the game? It sounds horrible." but for the most part I thought that she was pretty decent.

Anyways I tried RDR for a couple hours, hated the gameplay, and didn't really like the story. Characters seemed very forced. I'll probably try it again sometime, but it gave me a horrible first impression.

killzone 3....instead of trying of continuing the gritty war gameplay, they went hollywood, changed sev's voice( ruined it alot for me) natko no where to be seen, and the chick (rico's sister?) was so **** random, I mean they had a good thing going in killzone 2 Story and MP wise and they ruined it to get teh cod moneyz. Which backfired. so i gave up on the story and almost gave up on the MP until i bought "from the ashes" map pack.

then one dark day i saw the ending of killzone 3....i mean wow
