Hater need to the realize the fun comes from not just the platforming, but also from creating the vehicles. I am already giddy from the stuff I am going to create.

The problem is creating vehicles is not necessarily what platformer fans look foward to when playing a platformer. They look foward to platforming. Racing sim fans like to edit vehicles. And if this game is racing heavy and the driving mechanics are frustrating like IGN claimed it definatly is not something a platforming fan would look foward too.
The drive to use vehicles for platforming could be good or bad depending on how much platforming is really done. Either way I guess at the price its at and what you get with the money you spend its not too hard to justify a purchase.
You act like theres only one set rule for genres.
A platforming fan is just a general term.
Id consider myself a platforming fan, and that just means the whole feel of it generally. R&C and Kameo, while not platforming in traditional senses. one is really a beat em up and the other is basically a epic uh... i action- uhh.. something else game, I still consider them platformers
