Hey peeps... could use a bit of advice...

I've decided to go with the PS3 version of Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Burnout Paradise, and Prince of Persia as i've played both and they seemed to be a bit better on PS3, prob because of the PS3 being the lead platform on those games.. However these others i have not a clue... so for anyone who has played both i could use some guidence on which version of these pick up .... woot Tax money...blessing or curse lol?

"Bioshock, Condemned 2, Asassins Creed, Fallout 3, CoD:WaW. GTA4, Farcry 2, Eternal Sonata"

Thanks for any advice you all could give :)

BioShock and Assassin's Creed - go for 360, GTA IV - 360 version has AA and PS3 has jaggies, but it tries to make it up with more HDR effects. Take your pick. Other games - I don't know.

based on GS reviews and word of mouth I'm just gonna with 360 versions 99% of the time. For the love of me I dont know why the PS3 versions have so many glitches and problems but with games as good as Bioshock or Fallout 3 I dont think you really wanna risk it. Also Achievements > Trophies

I consider myself a PS3 fanboy, but I'm still going to have to reccomend that you get GTA IV and FO3 fro the 360. Bioshock is apparently better on PS3, and everything else is the same.

personally, I get most of the multiplats on 360. I prefer the controller and online :P the barely noticable "superior graphics" are a bonus

having a score that you and others can flat out see is better imo, and the entire concept is just done better. its clear that Sony just copied it but clearly didnt put as much effort into it. The only multiplat I'll get on PS3 is FFXIII b/c I'm almost certain that SE will somehow sabotage the 360 version in some way, shape, or form.

Ya it's looking like (from reviews) that it really depends on which system had the lead sku for that title... I may break the rule though and get SF4 on PS3 just becuase of the D pad thing.... tis a shame though as i love the PS3 hardware more then then 360's

Well from the reviews Bioshock is a great port and doesint look less good then 360. Plus it has that extra challenge room. I own condemned 2 and it works just fine on the PS3. If you want the DLC for fallout 3 go with the 360 version. I own it on PS3 and it works just fine. Eternal sonata is also a good port and I heard from ign that some parts look better on PS3,but nothing mind blowing. Not to sure about the other games.

I can only suggest that you get Bioshock for the PS3 as its basically the same game but contains extra content since it was ported late to the PS3.... As far as assassin's creed and FarCry 2 is concerned I would suggest that you skip these games all together....but that's just me...but if you're intent on getting them then at least rent them first. I haven't played the rest nor do I own them so good luck. =)

The Trophie system is pretty unorganized and all over the place. I just want a consistant number that shows my progress and I don't really want to explain how many bronze, silver, gold, platinum trophies I have and my overall level. Also the 360 version usually have more content, here's just one example:

Actually, all of those games, even the SP3 lead games run smoother and better on the 360. I'm not sure why you would think they are 'slightly better' on the SP3, when they are either identical or faster frame rate on 360. So to answer your question, get em all for the 360.

Umm what? how is that unorganized. Its does what its suppose to do. You pick your profile its tells you your level and how many trophies you have all together and if you want to see how many bronze, silver, gold or platinum you have you just press r1 and thats it.

Bioshock and eternal sonata run the same on PS3 and have extra content if the TC cares. Condemned 2 also runs fine.

That's the thing, it's just broken up into so many sections. Somebody can ask you how many bronze trophies you have while another can ask you how many platinum trophies you have and then another person can ask you what's your level, but with Achievements somebody can just ask you what's your gamerscore.

What are so many sections. I would get it if you had to go through 10 windows, but its just one button with no load in between. Its not like a window for bronze,a window for silver and so forht. Your making it sound wayyy more complitcated and messy which it isint. To be honest when I check peoples profile I see the level they are on.

About the Trophies: Theres not allot difference between the two actually, the only difference is that you have to pay monthly to go online on the 360.

PS3:

Dead Space

Mirrors Edge

Burnout Paradise

Prince of persia

Bioshock (Includes extra content)

Call of duty: world at war

Farcry 2

Assasins Creed

Condemned 2

Xbox 360:

Fallout 3 (Doesnt glitch up on xbox 360)

Eternal Sonata

GTA IV and Fallout 3 on the 360. DLC makes it a easy choice there.

Bioshock - PS3 (due to more content)

Condemned 2 - PS3 (I think the sound is better in this version)

Assassin's Creed - Really doesn't matter which version you get here, but I think you need to install the PS3 version.

Fallout 3 - 360 (Better visuals and DLC on the way, but if you can get the PC version that would be even better.)

CoD: WaW - 360 (Heard this version looks better and I personally prefer to play shooters with the 360 controller but that's just me)

Far Cry 2 - ...Don't buy this game

Eternal Sonata - PS3 (more content)

I generally go with FPS and Platformers/Adventure games on the Xbox 360 and RPGs, Action, and Fighters on the PS3. Just my preference in terms of controls and such.

I don't really have a response to why i feel Prince, mirrors edge, and deadspace run better... i've played both versions if there is any less fps or slowdown it's not noticable by me i suppose.... Now you say shooters play better on 360 and i can see that... would you call RE5 a shooter or Action game?

WAW is a wash, FO3, Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, GTA4, and Condemned 2 are better for 360. Farcry 2, Eternal Sonata, and CoD:WaW are essentially identical. If you want my further advice, play the demo of Condemned first to see if you like it....there's one on PSN I know that much. Assassin's Creed is simply a no. I can only recommend that you don't buy it, it's garbage. You'll only regret it more if you actually finish the game. It's basically a "LoL, got sixty bucks laying around for the sequel?" cliffhanger. Nothing comes of that game. The plot just hangs in the air like a limp noodle and the gameplay gets old REAL fast. WaW sucks too. It's just poopy. Stick with number 4.

My advice would generally be:

Stop nitpicking, and choose the console which you are probably most accustomed to(control-wise).

I'm sick of people saying, "I need to buy this on console A AND console B just to see which one's better." :?

Hey peeps... could use a bit of advice...

I've decided to go with the PS3 version of Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Burnout Paradise, and Prince of Persia as i've played both and they seemed to be a bit better on PS3, prob because of the PS3 being the lead platform on those games.. However these others i have not a clue... so for anyone who has played both i could use some guidence on which version of these pick up .... woot Tax money...blessing or curse lol?

AGreed 100%. I highly doubt the TC played both versions to even tell if there was a difference and is only saying the PS3 is "a bit better" to convince himself. Same goes for most fanboys.

Personally, I own both consoles and always buy the Xbox360 version of multiplatform games. XBL, controller, custom soundtracks, and Achievements are all the reason why I buy the x360 version.

The only exception was SFII HD REmix for the PS3's D-pad.

Bioshock, Assassins Creed, Fallout 3, GTA - I would recommend for 360. Don't know about the others, but your safe bet is to get the 360 versions.

Thanks for any advice you all could give :)

Bioshock- PS3, extra content. Condemned- either Assassins Creed- either Fallout 3- 360 Cod WAW- either GTA4- if you want DLC, 360. If not, PS3. Far Cry 2- Do yourself a favour and get Resistance 2 and Gears 2 instead. Eternal Sonata- PS3, extra content. Then again, it may be more expensive.

Depends on the game really. I do consider each before I buy a game on either platform, and do a little reasearch - though generally I think X game might be better on X platform - or more suited too (if you factor in the PC).

Stick with number 4.BobHipJames
I disagree. I had a lot of fun with Assassin's Creed and I'm having a lot of fun with COD:WAW. I liked AC because I thought the plot was cool and I don't care about the cliffhanger ending because there's more important things in life. I also had a lot fun with the combat, gameplay and horse riding. I like COD:WAW because of the co-op mode and I can't wait to try the nazi zombie horde mode thing, it sounds like a lot of fun.

I fyou have Live Gold , and your into multiplayer then go for 360 on everything

if your into multiplayer and don't have live gold .. then go for PS3

if your not into multiplayer then go for 360

but read the reviews and unless they mention problems with the PS3 version ( Fallout 3 for example ) then buy whatever format they are cheapest on

solved !

Just go with the 360 for all multiplats, it either has a massive advantage (better graphics, exclusive DLC, better frame rates and so on) or is equal to the PS3. There has *never* been a multiplat that looked noticably better on the PS3 where as most PS3 multiplats suffer compared to the superior 360 in some way or another.

Bioshock had PS1 graphics in areas. And Fallout 3 is broken on it too.

I'm pretty sure they fixed those graphical issues in a patch, i could be wrong though... the only thing i fear is getting all those great games for 360 then having my 4th RROD or this new error that is floating around...

BioShock and Assassin's Creed - go for 360, GTA IV - 360 version has AA and PS3 has jaggies, but it tries to make it up with more HDR effects. Take your pick. Other games - I don't know.

What are AA's and jaggies
